But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...
Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
Whilst our laughter echoed,
Under cerulean skies...
He definitely looks like the kind of person who will die young. Should be interesting.

Certainly a possibility, and one which I haven't written off entirely. But tbh, even if that is the case... I don't care. He's the first person I've ever met who can keep up with me, who is capable of properly handling me. He not only knows how I'm feeling when I don't, but also why and what to say about it to resolve the situation. I travel like 30 times the speed of life ("speed of light"... haha). He probably travels like 50 times the speed of life.
It seems like it's more a matter of too much focus on Si Role plus having a very strong mechanical/musical aptitude (not necessarily indicative of type, as we all know). He's EXTREMELY bright and totally ADHD, which makes him difficult to type. When I first started hanging out with him again he seemed to be sort of an idiot (in a cute way), but it didn't take long for me to notice how much he notices, how quickly he processes information, and how excellent his memory is. He definitely displays more Fe than anything (at the expense of Te), but it's just goofiness. He's mature in ways that matter to me (priorities, emotional/social/interpersonal intelligence, wisdom in certain areas). And considering he used to be such a fuck up (I've known this guy for more than 14 years) but now he's got his head on straight shows me that he's capable of rapid personal growth, which is a necessity for anyone who's involved with me.
He does seem to have the problem that a lot of NiFe's have where they see life as a series of events that have just happened and not recognize that he could have decided that things would have turned out differently and made them that way. And he responds well to being reminded of this. I think this is what the SLE/IEI description is referring to when it mentions that sometimes the SLE puts the IEI "to shame". It's not really shame... it's more like "so make it happen, it's not like there's nothing you can do about it". I've also not seen evidence of Ne seeking from him. He seems to have that area covered (though it's not something he talks about unless I'm bringing up various possibilities and he's telling me not to worry so much).
Also possible. He does have a long history of thrill seeking behavior. Less likely to get himself killed or permanently injured now that I'm around though. And wth... at least he's actually living. That's more than I can say about most of the people I know.
Does anyone else find this uncomfortable? Joy showing her new bf in front of discojoe? I dont know. It's odd to me. I'm not saying it's a ploy to make him jealous or something but it just feels strange. I dunno. I couldn't imagine posting pics of some guy I was in a relationship with knowing my ex was going to read it unless i wanted to get him back super bad or make him super jealous. But then again, I don't know what your relationship was like or how it ended. It's just odd to me. Sort of uncomfortable. lol.
I have always wondered what this means. It seems to come up a lot in this forum, along with comments such as "people can't keep up/are lame/live boring lives," etc. I just don't understand what the "speed of life" is supposed to be and what keeping up with someone means. What is it that makes you live life at a faster speed than other people?

Kim! Haven't seen you posting here in a while.

Either people can't keep up physically, meaning you're walking somewhere, and you have to wait for them, or doing some activity and they're slow and awkward. Or, they can't keep up mentally, meaning they don't follow what you're saying and you have to explain in a careful tedious manner, slowing down for them. And while there will be people who can't keep up with you, likewise you'll find people who you can't keep up with in one of those two ways.
