good bye
The decisive thing is not the reality of the object, but the reality of the subjective factor, i.e. the primordial images, which in their totality represent a psychic mirror-world. It is a mirror, however, with the peculiar capacity of representing the present contents of consciousness not in their known and customary form but in a certain sense sub specie aeternitatis, somewhat as a million-year old consciousness might see them.

good bye

A red sky morning, a
Sailor's warning, face
Down on the pillow, sweet
Dreams of a soft night in jail
(I drink up)
Climbing higher on
Razor wire, your
Eyes are tired, you
Think you're just down on your luck
(I drink up)
I drank the poison that
Did the boys in, the
Weather was rough like the
Sea in a port in a storm
(I drink up)
The cats are calling, and
Shameless brawling, the
Boys will be boys, we're
So cool but we can't catch our tail
(I drink up)
It's Kool Aid morning, it
Makes me horny, a
Fist full of tears, and
I'll scream when my ship has come in
(Your ship has come in!)
A red sky morning, a
Sailor's warning, face
Down on the pillow, sweet
Dreams of a soft night in jail
(I drink up)
Squeeze the throttle, and
Tip the bottle, I've
Learned from old friends, I don't
Have to die to see the light
(I drink up)
My luck is changing, I
Feel a raising
Deep in your head and I'll
Scream when my ship has come in
(Your ship has come in!)

Cause you've had your own mountains to climb
And I've got skeletons I hide,
In the back of my mind where I question myself,
I dwell on the past just like everyone else

good bye
I have this song on repeat, I can't remember the last time I felt so much raw emotion from a piece of music. There are not many bands who can mix the melodic parts and the extreme heavy parts this well and the emotion simply gets lost in fast rhythm and screams or growls, but this combo is fucking brilliant.
The lyrics are 10/10 too!
I always forget how good this is
