This could have something to do with having in the super-ego, but really this is not very type-related.

I wouldn't say "can't stand" but the least likely to enjoy them are probably the XEIs... But it's not really type-related anyway.

Well because... they are the types that are most likely to "feel" their enviroment as well as internalize their environment.

My INFj mother seems slightly disturbed by these. Myself, I have almost infinitely high tolerance for them, though I tend to find excessive violence boring and lacking in culture.

I enjoy myself plenty of violence and blood, but only if it's supplemented with a good plot (Or a silly plot like Pineapple Express). I absolutely hate horror movies that put too much emphasis on the horror aspect. Who the fuck wants to be horrified? The Grudge was stupid etc. For some reason I thought the ring was ok though.

It was so terrible when Gilly posted that severed body picture in Delta Lounge.

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

I don't watch movies of this sort. I did some when I was younger, if I remember right. I dont' think even then I went out of my way to watch them, but if I were in a group and everyone was watching one I wouldn't refuse to go for that reason. But I might not look at the screen teh whole time.

I think there's a tendency for the above mentioned types (someone listed them) to avoid movies like that, but there aren't behavioral absolutes in Socionics, because Socionics isn't based on behavior, but instead on how people process information. Which can show up in behavior differently in different people.

Oh cmon... I'm EII and I couldn't stop watching Hostel (I'm a masochist like that). It's not really type related, per se. Maybe it's just counterphobic E6 behavior though.

There might be gender related issues involved too. That's another problem with tendencies. So many things can influence them and change what we see - gender, age, what movies you've watched in the past and whether you're desensitized to that, etc. You can't just look at a behavior and say what type someone has to be or can't possibly be.

Honestly, I find watching the news to be a lot more traumatizing than seeing violence portrayed on film, since the latter is fictitious despite being more graphic
It's the sense of knowing that someone is hurt/being hurt that bothers me, not so much the blood and gore. But I do at times get emotional when a character in a film/TV is being hurt/killed
