Is this the case for IEEs here and/or IEEs people here know irl?

No idea, but I prefer to eat something I know is tasty rather than trying something new. I have a few restaurants where there are a few dishes I love a lot, but I hardly tried 20% of the menu. This is very different to my normal "lets try something new" approach. I do not know if it is the same for "Si things" in general, just food.

The texture of raw fish doesn't bother you? Or the fact it's basically alive on your plate? The squishy feeling between your teeth? The horrendous smell? Couple it with onions and omfg

most fish I find absolutely disgusting and won't even eat cooked, but I like salmon in sushi, and occasionally will eat sashimi. If you cook salmon I will baulk at it though. Fish bothers me.

Sushi and Seafood is one of my favourite foods. I mean I cant live without meet on a regular basis. But thank god I am in a country where I can enjoy Oysters, Prawns, Tuna, Lobsters and whatnot on a regular daily basis. And sushi...oh boy the amount of money I spent on that thing and I never regreted it ;D. Obviously making it yourself costs a milion times less but Im not that good on making them so I just go to the restaurants to eat them.

Also I dont see whats wrong with the picture of fish with onions? Must be because I was eating things like that from when I was a kid. I find it tasty .

And burgers I could live without and I would not think I ever missed anything. Must be a USA thing.

Actually I LIKE that texture!! When it's smoked, salted, or in sushi (if it's good sushi), it doesn't have that fresh out of the ocean fishy smell. My preference is eating the salted or smoked fish with potatoes actually. Though onions do add some zip. However I must say that I grew up eating such stuff, so maybe that's why I like it. Sushi i was hesitant to try until my sister made me try one of her salmon sushi pieces in college. The first one was weird, but after the 2nd one, I was hooked!

No, this is pretty ridiculous. Something like that description is not completely type related. I love trying new food and new cuisines. I was a rather picky eater when I was a child, and now I have a clear sense of what I do or do not like, but I don't go out of my way to have similar things. Likewise, my NeTi best friend isn't picky about food at all and eats everything, and doesn't really go out of her way either. I would on'y say that generally I have moods of what I do or do not want to eat, but I'm flexible as long as the option is something I like or am interested in trying.

I'm always up for a deep tissue massage!

Love those chinese massages at the mall

As far as trying new things at restaurants--I identify with both Ssmall and look.to.the.sky in that respect. I love trying new cuisines, etc, but more often than not, the new dish is really not all that (probably because most dishes out there aren't). The Si-DS comes in I think, when I'm extremely disappointed by it and very regretful. So, through experience, I've come to a point where I will hesitate going for a random dish in favor of a tried and true one when the choice exists. That said, I will sometimes risk trying something new.

I tried fish for the first time in my life the other day. Never happening again. Trying new foods is not something I like. I'm not iee, but I'm bored...so...yeah.

I think fish is an acquired taste. It's also a spurious category--there are a wide variety of fish flavours, some distinctly more overpowering than others.

    Which fish did you eat?

(Sorry, fish addict here, felt the need to butt in.)

No idea. It was something in sushi. And while we're on the subject, why in gods name was sushi ever invented? You're taking the grossest tasting food on the planet and wrapping it in frigging seaweed...I mean WTF. It's the nastiest thing I've ever put in my mouth. Crab too. Seafood is the devil, gimme pigs and chickens and cows, thanks.

I'm going to blame this disagreement on genetics and say that my love of seafood is because I'm part-Fijian.

sometimes IEEs are playfully curious, but there is always an element of weak Se about it, and a sort of Ne-Fi ego reservedness about it.

For example, an IEE acrobatically poked me with her foot by bending her leg almost around her back to hit my side hip - it was rather unusual, and it was lighthearted and jokey. But it was totally different from an Se dominant crashing or pulling physically. This was much more 'innocent' or infantile, etc.
Posts I wrote in the past contain less nuance.
If you're in this forum to learn something, be careful. Lots of misplaced toxicity.

I agree. What I hate about it is it's supposedly really healthy. At first sushi was okay when I tried it, but after a short while it became vomit inducing. It turned out to be one of those traitor foods (the ones that seem to not be sickening, until I try them again weeks later). Anyway I'm often skeptical of trying certain new foods because I'm afraid they will become traitor foods.

So I can't convince you to try Holland's favorite seafood:

I love it! I buy those all the time at the Russian store.

In fact I prefer raw fish to cooked fish.
