SLE/IEI?

SLE/IEI?
"I'm comin' clean for Amy, Julie doesn't scream as well..."
I don't know about songs but Titanic is a good example of peak Ti/Fe axis EIE (DiCaprio) - LSI (Winslet) duality.
Heh I'm sorta just thinking out loud with the one above... I'm only now reading about SLE/IEI pairs, so I could be wrong. It's a story about a serial killer who regrets killing Amy..he realizes he loves her because she screamed better than everyone else.
Anyhow the Misfits have a Beta type of humor at the very least.
At first I was ready to criticize you and correct you but I think you're right, this does feel like something I do enjoy. It reminded me of this person I really liked before.... and how we would have these conversations under this one tree outside in the open landscape.
lol @ the end. It's like they finally fucked and the IEI got throat fucked by the SLE AT LAST.
B'n'D: I don't like being throat fucked ffs! :>

At all counts, it forms an unconscious snag, thwarting our most well-meant intentions."

Know your body, know your mind, know your limits.
Ezra,why aren't you IEI ?
p.s.:that saxophone makes ambient music worse than it actually is.
I actually like it.
LSI: “I still can’t figure out Pinterest.”
Me: “It’s just, like, idea boards.”
LSI: “I don’t have ideas.”
Edit: ok so I think this whole thread is actually LIE ESI

Dr. Manhattan seems Ni to me (?)
And I would hide my face in you and you would hide your face in me, and nobody would ever see us any more.
I think dr manhattan is simply Ti to its extreme. Capable of accomplishing anything, totally out of touch with other people.
ok I'm gonna go ahead and say this whole thread is actually LIE ESI.
This dude is a clear SLE to me, I've always loved this song (whaddya guys think):
True Love by Pink is about SLE/IEI duality:
In any other quadra such a relationship would be called disfunctional, but in Beta..."Sometimes I hate every single stupid word you say,
Sometimes I wanna slap you in your whole face.
There's no one quite like you, you push all my buttons down,
I know life would suck without you.
At the same time I wanna hug you, I wanna wrap my hands around your neck.
You're an asshole but I love you, and you make me so mad I ask myself
Why I'm still here, or where could I go? You're the only love I've ever known, but I hate you, I really hate you, so much I think it must be...
True love true love...."

“My typology is . . . not in any sense to stick labels on people at first sight. It is not a physiognomy and not an anthropological system, but a critical psychology dealing with the organization and delimitation of psychic processes that can be shown to be typical.” —C.G. Jung
You seek a great fortune, you three who are now in chains. You will find a fortune, though it will not be the one you seek.
But first you must travel a long and difficult road, a road fraught with peril.
You shall see things, wonderful to tell. You shall see a... cow... on the roof of a cotton house. And, oh, so many startlements.
I cannot tell you how long this road shall be, but fear not the ob-stacles in your path, for fate has vouchsafed your reward.
Though the road may wind, yea, your hearts grow weary, still shall ye follow them, even unto your salvation.

I relate to pretty much everything you say here. Half my exes are on my FB and some of us still end our conversations with, "love you". I don't say it first though because I am always trying to be sensitive to them, and whatever relationship they are currently in or feelings they still have, but since I still feel love (not in love) for them I have no problems saying it back. Most of them are musicians playing in bands and they invite me to their shows a lot but I avoid that because it usually leads to some kind of trouble.
Emails, pm and phone calls are fine. I always tell new relationships up front that I am friends with exes and if they can't handle it then they know to get out before they get in too deep. I do not let my exes interfere in current relationships though, so I do keep a certain psychological distance. Sometimes they just want to check up on me and see how I am doing. I don't get any sense of jealousy from them usually but they have joked around and told me to ditch other boyfriends and come back to them. It is all light-hearted. I try to leave relationships on good terms. I never like to burn my bridges and I have had exes help me out in many situations later because I left it on good terms.
I don't think it is specific to duality but may be specific to certain personality types who are sensitive to other people's feelings and don't like to have bad vibes with others.

This song is pretty old but I think it captures the idea of "dysfunction" that people associate with SLE-IEI, better than songs that are too literal and wordy, like Pink's
Why you do that??? You didn't even read my post, did you?I posted this song in this thread. Weird when that happens. I thought you were just mocking me when you did it before but you don't even notice. FU I am not reading your posts anymore either.
Well, I thought that is how all friendships started?
As a sidenote, Mercutio and Lzzy Hale are like energy twins separated at birth.Their mannerisms are very similar, hand gestures and facial expressions. She is the female version of Merc.

I don't know what people type her but this song seems fitting.

Everything by this band, just watch the music video and you can see SLE IEI in action:

Yeah, it's cuz the dude is LSI and Leah Fay is SEI. The song is actually about benefit relationship :/ It's not doing much for me either, though the LSI dude has one sexy grungy voice.
What was interesting in that video is how rounded and conserved Leah was with her dancing, so different from IEIs, especially Fe subtypes who show greater degrees of freedom in how they go about the dance floor and demonstrate some 'edgier' moves.
cute <3

not exactly duality but i love this song and it also screams SLE to me:
My girl likes to party all the time. Party all the time. Party all the tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiimmmmmmeee.
Projection is ordinary. Person A projects at person B, hoping tovalidate something about person A by the response of person B. However, person B, not wanting to be an obejct of someone elses ego and guarding against existential terror constructs a personality which protects his ego and maintain a certain sense of a robust and real self that is different and separate from person A. Sadly, this robust and real self, cut off by defenses of character from the rest of the world, is quite vulnerable and fragile given that it is imaginary and propped up through external feed back. Person B is dimly aware of this and defends against it all the more, even desperately projecting his anxieties back onto person A, with the hope of shoring up his ego with salubrious validation. All of this happens without A or B acknowledging it, of course. Because to face up to it consciously is shocking, in that this is all anybody is doing or can do and it seems absurd when you realize how pathetic it is.
