Very busy with work. Only kind of around.
I have been studying socionics with an LII friend of mine, and the way we see subtypes is that someone's subtype is what they are observably more critical of in people (using ego function subtypes). Works for me. Also subtype seems to be something that the person is more focused on in general in their lives. A base subtype will noticeably use their creative less than a creative subtype. Basic stuff like that.

Sub type exist imo, only cause i've seen types with them in action, but from what i've seen personally. most people don't have a sub type.
My understanding of subtypes is that they determine the information flow direction. A Ti-subtype LII uses Ti first and then Ne, while a Ne subtype uses Ne first and then Ti.
I understand that my Ne ideas are filtered through Ti, but to be honest I never actually do the filtering, I experience it. The process is mostly unconscious, never something I can actually focus on as it happens because the filtering procedure is my consciousness. However I can dwell on Ne for hours, creating possibilities and then casually fitting them into my great Ti framework and seeing how well they fit. If they don't fit, then I at least know I cannot prove them true given everything else I know.
In summary, Ti subtypes focus on learning Ti; Ne subtypes focus on creating it.
