Thanks, ashton. Don't the descriptions of these types differ per site? Where do you get yours?

I made it myself awhile ago. There's a mirror of this post on Socionix.

    That's called variety, I believe.

Would you say 5w4 (as opposed to 5w6) is a clue towards Ni subtype? I don't mean if it's at all possible, because I think it is - and there are non-5 ILIs - but I'm curious if the correlation you observed is significant.

All of the (3) Ni-INTps I've had any significant contact with were 5w4. I wish I knew more of you so I could get better data, but you're woefully difficult to find.

Knowing what I know of both types, I'd expect that most Ni-INTps will be this Enneatype. The two just... fit each other.

I don't remember if you told me you were 5w4 or not, but you seem like one to me as well.

Hmm. The one Ni-ILI I got to know reasonably well was actually a 4w5 sp/sx.

Yeh I think there may be a correlation between ILI-Ni and 4 wing but also Te subtype and 6 wing.

It makes sense in that Ni is more introspectively inclined and Te is more scientifically inclined toward dissection of fact; 4s are supposedly interested in things like humanities, philosophy, art etc while it says that 6s are more apt to persue things like law, exact sciences etc.
Different emphasis could mean ILI 4w5 and ILI 6w5, but I can't see a 6w7 or 4w3 existing anywhere.

I really need to make an ennea database...

I charted some a few months ago, but need to add the ones since then. I could share the numbers I did then.

I might have done this already (I hope you've got a method for not counting twice), but here is what I know:

    Mother: LSE
    Father: SLI

Me: LIE-Te, sx/so, 8w7, 3w2, 6w7, first girlfriend: LSI, then married and divorced from SLI , son is SLI.

    ESI-Se. 6w5.

mfckr's list should add LIE (for both subtypes): 8 (both wings), 7 (both wings).
ESI (for both subtypes): 2 (both wings), 3 (both wings), 1 (both wings), 6 (both wings). 4 (both wings).

Do you have the link to the thread where you asked about the types ? I may have an update.

Whoops. I just realized this isn't that thread. This is the one from last decade, and the chart I had for that has been in my images for a long time. But I could update it.

Wow, I never noticed that before, but it is true. It could account for my hesitation in jumping into the land of Ethicals. It is largely unfamiliar territory to me where, I suspect, the rules are different.
