I think Ni-polrs are very good at seeing connections at one point in any dimension. They may not necessarily see (or care, for that matter) how one point may lead to another, or how each points may come together, but they have a great propensity to master the point which interests them.
In fact, the way I think Ni-polr and Si-polr compensate for their weakness is as follows:
Ni-polr - By mastering as many points as possible, thus slowly creating or seeing a "greater" or "bigger" picture;
Si-polr - Consider more details than they would otherwise, thus creating or seeing a more "tangible" or more "correct" picture.
