is IEI and this year her best friend is an SLE girl in her classroom. They're in fourth grade, 10 years old. This SLE is kind of aggressive and super confident. My husband isn't "sure" about her (like if she's going to be a good influence) but I think it's the perfect friendship and it's super cute to see the two of them together. I'm so happy for her!

and the other interesting thing is how much I really like and admire this little girl while at the same time my husband is so skeptical of her. He doesn't trust her, worries she'll be mean or turn on Lydia. But I really don't think that will happen. So funny to watch these intertype relationships happening on other levels besides just romance, y'know??

That's so sweet! I think it's kind of amazing how really young kids gravitate towards people they're compatible with, even if later they get spun around in different directions. My first friend in preschool was an SLI, but later we lost touch with each other.
