    Default Patrick Swayze

    quotes:

What winning is to me is not giving up, is no matter what's thrown at me, I can take it. And I can keep going.

I found that dance was key to keeping depression out of my life. When you dance, things just go away, things don't seem so bad. There's no better way to take care of health than through something as joyous and beautiful as dance.

You can imagine me as a kid growing up in redneck Texas with ballet shoes, tucking the violin under my arm. I had to fight my way up.

Good-looking people turn me off. Myself included.

You know, I am a Leo. Lion is a giant part of me.

I keep dreaming of a future, a future with a long and healthy life, not lived in the shadow of cancer but in the light.

There's just something about dance ... It's like a primal thing in all of us.

The way to screw up somebody's life is to give them what they want.

    Pain don't hurt.

I think what creates a winner is a person who can connect with their partner - another human being.. connect with their soul.

I like to believe that I've got a lot of guardian warriors sittin' on my shoulder including my dad.

If I leave this Earth, I want to leave this Earth just knowing I've tried to give something back and tried to do something worthwhile with myself.

When those you love die, the best you can do is honor their spirit for as long as you live. You make a commitment that you're going to take whatever lesson that person or animal was trying to teach you, and you make it true in your own life... it's a positive way to keep their spirit alive in the world, by keeping it alive in yourself.” ― Patrick Swayze, The Time of My Life.

I typed him EIE at one point but I have reeled back to Beta Extrovert, Fe/Ti axis.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

which leads me to recall Jennifer Grey and be tempted to say ILI for her because they did have good rapport on camera.

I must admit I strongly disagree with this strong but wrong trend that has caught on for false EIE types. Nick Heyward is EIE.

All of you are wrong, he was LSE. I actually had the impression previous generations of 16typers already reached consensus on his type.

I think he’s LSE, too. He’s a good dancer, but he doesn’t move as smoothly as an Se-dom.

Plus, that EII girl in the video of “Dirty Dancing” genuinely liked him. She couldn’t have faked that with an SLE. Her “little girl’s” face was in ecstasy when she was dancing with him. I was told by my Infantile LII sister that her Caregiver LSE husband is the best sex she’s ever had. Now, I had sex with a Caregiver SLI and personally, I thought Caregiver sex was incredibly boring and sex with an Aggressor was the best I ever had. So that should be counted in favor of typing Swayze as LSE.

    I also think he's LSE

In Road House, he gets hired as a bouncer to turn a struggling bar into a profitable business. He has a humourless, no-nonsense approach ("it's a job, it's nothing personal") and tries to instill a sense of professionalism and formality in the staff.

I agree with the LSE typing for him. He always looked like a type 4 superficially, but I think he was actually a 6.

He’s got the Se & Fe vibes to him. Thinking Beta extrovert. Yeah that’s a terrible shallow way of typing
