    ILE > EIE. Definitely Ne/Si over Ni/Se.
Not a rule, just a trend.

IEI. Probably Fe subtype. Pretty sure I'm E4, sexual instinctual type, fairly confident that I'm a 3 wing now, so: IEI-Fe E4w3 sx/so. Considering 3w4 now, but pretty sure that 4 fits the best.

    Yes 'a ma'am that's pretty music...

I am grateful for the mystery of the soul, because without it, there could be no contemplation, except of the mysteries of divinity, which are far more dangerous to get wrong.

At various points in time, they have been typed mostly ENFx and ISTx respectively (with ENTp for Fry and INTp for Laurie cropping up here and then).

Fry is ESE or EIE, he's like Eddie Izzard and Eddie Murphy had a baby...

Hugh Laurie is LSI as hell.

But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

I liked this series when I was trying to type them. This is part one.

Fry is a Ti valuing ethical extrovert (EXE). Laurie is harder to pin down. I like LXI, but I could see an argument for IEI. SEI seems silly but I suppose wouldn't be the worst typing in the world.

One of my favorite speeches by Fry.

Stephen Fry is a fantastic example of an EIE and Hugh Laurie is an equally fantastic example of an ILI.

Yes, Stephen is Hugh's SUPERVISOR. Watch this from 3:00 onwards, taking extra note of how Stephen talks about Hugh from 4:20 onwards.

"I spend a good 90% of my life trying to make Hugh more confident" kinda sums it up.

I just spent 90 minutes watching a film called Wagner and Me, hosted by Stephen Fry. He is so deeply moved by the powerful music of Wagner, and so deeply conflicted by the anti-semitism associated with Wagner, being of Jewish heritage himself. He is obviously Fe valuing, and has moments of lightheartedness that come across as alpha, but I do not think he ILE. There were moments when I could see that same almost geeky earnestness that I have noticed In other Betas. I type him as EIE. He is very much like me. But I am not as funny, of course.

    Why benefit?

    .
...Laurie said he had a "pretty instantaneous" friendship with Fry, and they have "barely" had a cross word between them in all the years of their friendship.
"That's not really natural, is it, to never have a cross word? It seems odd," Laurie has stated.

    .
I also don’t see IP temperament in Fry. He is also physically awkward in a way that I don't associate with sensors.

Fry is an incredibly erudite interlocutor and has stated he is a very empirical thinker. He is also a staunch atheist. He is a writer of nonfiction and fiction, he is a good comedic writer and actor but says he is more a jack of all trades, not motivated to excel at much besides writing. He is fascinated with history. He was close friends with Christopher Hitchens. His friendship with Laurie he says was just about instantaneous and they naturally and easily understand each other. He has said it was like a non-sexual falling in love. My guesses are EIE>LIE>ILE. He does not come across in speech as an ESE in any fathomable way.
Edit: I wanted to add that Fry says he and Laurie really connected in the way they hated things, bad comedy, etc. I think that’s not very Alpha or Delta.

Hugh Laurie mb EIE. Fe/Ni shows its head in this video although somewhat subdued but it's def. there.

Fry I'm not sure but I wouldn't be surprised if EIE-Harmonizing (thus lending to confusion with SEI although that type should be different enough)-

Hugh Laurie: Balanced-stable. Management. LSI. He reminds me a lot of Clint Eastwood.

    Stephen Fry: Flexible-maneuvering. Scientist. ILE.

Are you sure? Too expressive in interviews and does that thing EIEs do which is manage crowds with his look and comment on situations more eloquently and picturesquely (play-pretend phone call and listen to his multiple interjections) more than LSI I believe. I do believe he's N-H subtype.

Sicuramente cercherai il significato di questo.

    Laurie LSI (LxI)
The Barnum or Forer effect is the tendency for people to judge that general, universally valid statements about personality are actually specific descriptions of their own personalities. A "universally valid" statement is one that is true of everyone—or, more likely, nearly everyone. It is not known why people tend to make such misjudgments, but the effect has been experimentally reproduced.

The psychologist Paul Meehl named this fallacy "the P.T. Barnum effect" because Barnum built his circus and dime museum on the principle of having something for everyone. It is also called "the Forer effect" after its discoverer, the psychologist Bertram R. Forer, who modestly dubbed it "the fallacy of personal validation".

    Stephen Fry is ILE.

Hugh Laurie, I think, is an introverted Delta. Yes, he plays an ILE in House, doesn't mean anything about him.
