Just wanted to share some music that makes me cry:

This song is tough for me to hear because I first heard this song when my ex-gf played this song for me either when our relationship was about to end or after the relationship was over.



This song has a very bittersweet and somber feeling to me knowing the context in which this song resides. Being able to live, yet losing some things that you hold dear.



This song makes me feel almost like I'm in mourning, very dark, somber and melancholy.



I'm sort of rendered speechless when I hear this song



I feel lonely when I hear this song



This song has an association with it. There was one time when I was really depressed, and I listened to this song on loop and stared at the ceiling lying on my bed.

This song makes me bleed inside. Reminds me of a really special time with the only girl I have ever loved. After she broke up with me, there was a period of maybe two weeks where, when I didnt have any obligations, I sat in my room and listened on repeat to:




There is also a good bit of music that I associate with that time in my life that tends to make me sort of depressed, the most notable of which has to be "Happy Songs for Happy People" by Mogwai.

Oh, and how could I forget Sea Change by Beck, the whole album.






I heard that he wrote that album after a girl broke up with him, and one critic said "Someone, please break Beck's heart again so we can get another album this good."


This song makes me think about all of the people and places I have left behind in my life.



Thankfully it is followed on the album by one of the songs that I absolutely love.


This song just makes me think about life.

I played Bittersweet Symphony on repeat during a 6 hour stopover in an airport, so that always takes me back to KLIA and who I was with then.

Mmhm, you should. Honestly, their whole discography is just amazing to me. This is a song my IEI friends and I sang drunkenly last night... lol. It's actually a cover of some old song that just evokes... dreaminess... wandering, being lost and not caring.



Also, this song is incredibly addicting... and makes you wanna dance!


One more, a personal favourite by a band I just recently started listening to that really speaks down to the depths of my soul. Seriously. Just listen for the guitar solo. Gosh, it's like a musical orgasm.

I happen to love this girl and, in a nice IEI fashion... she's with someone else....




Davy Spillane's Low D in the above song simply resonates with my heart... all its longings and high optimism expressed by those beautiful notes..
