from a subjective standpoint of typing oneself as two conflicting pairs and being a third pair there is a slight difference in the ability to confuse oneself with the pairs, compared to getting one type correct and then flat out getting the other completely wrong. from an objective standpoint there is no difference, as both pairs still have the same functional difference regardless of what type you are. since allie didn't know anything about socionics at the time, i don't think the subjective standpoint is relevant. If you know allie, you know she is ISFj.

The reason I got upset (besides being generally in a bad mood) is because Allie comes and says one thing (and misinterprets me in the process) yet daily supports someone whose actions very very clearly say something different. The cover line, oh gammas are just more rare on the forums, is absolute bullshit. She was being a hypocrite, and that's what really got to me.

calenwen, you must realize that if you had an obvious friendship with the "fake gammas", and if you showed disinterest in him or his ideas, rather than talking to him, that it's highly unlikely that you would have been listed by Ashton as ESI, same with coolguy. You basically pose no threat. I know that Ashton didn't have an influence on your typing of yourself. I wasn't suggesting that. But don't you think you would have been relegated to some other quadra under different circumstances? I did say that there were exceptions on the list, you and most obviously implied, as people who haven't just gone along with that particular view. But, you're easy to like, don't stir things up, and don't express viewpoints that conflict with socionix ideas. Anyway, my point is that it's political rather than rational. It IS elitist, and it's not because gammas are in such direly short supply. There really isn't a barrage of "fake gammas" trying to take over the quadra. To act as though there is, is aristocratic, and ridiculously self-important, as well as being dishonest.

I understand why you got upset and I don't have an issue with it. Tbh, I'm not entirely sure who the "fake gammas" are, but I see your point. I try to listen to everyone equally and I'm always open to hear different ideas and opinions on socionics - but I rarely taken them on as my own or express my own opinions. Because of this I have talked to quite a few people from this forum with radically different ideas. I'm sure that if I hadn't talked to Ashton he would have little to no opinion on my type. Before I talked to Niffweed he believed I was IEI, lol.

I agree that the idea of "fake gammas" taking over the quadra is ludicrous. I'm not sure why people care so much? And I thought it was tasteless of hoodrat to start this thread. You made me remember something demented.
