Ok
And then we go to Uganda and take out Joseph Kony to help these kids
then after that, actually, we'll start getting you ready and educated to make a lasting difference - increase awareness and promote development such that situations in Uganda don't happen again. It's something that you can do, actually, no matter where you are. Killing leaders, individuals, is easy. Making institutional, policy, governmental, norms & value changes that closes the gaps, the cracks that enable things to happen is hard. Not change as in revolution, but, because things are always growing - making sure they are developing in the right direction. That's the deal.
Posts I wrote in the past contain less nuance.
If you're in this forum to learn something, be careful. Lots of misplaced toxicity.

Actually I relate a lot to Khola's post in terms of types of places where I like going (although, obviously, we're not referring exactly to the same locations).
Obsequium amicos, veritas odium parit
On Monday evenings I usually go to a jazz place to listen to some music and have a few drinks with my friends. On evenings in general I like to go to a sushi bar near my flat, in most cases I go alone after work before going home. I go to Spanish classes on tuesday and thursday, after that I have a few beers with my friend. On weekends I usually hit the bars with my friends. During the week you can find me in theater or a movie theater. There is always a high chance I'll be in my friends or girlfriends apartment, chatting or not. Also I visit my brother once in two weeks or so, same with my mother. Since spring is here I'll be all over the place with my bike and my camera, photographing people and places. There is probably plenty I missed but it should be sufficient enough for anyone interested to start stalking me .

places I'm most likely to hang out (in no particular order)
these are the places I frequent of my own free will. I will usually only go to parties, bars, clubs, etc if someone needs me to go with them and I decide not to be a hermit for a night. Though I often prefer to do things on my own, I'm not very fond of being at home.
- coffee shops
- library
- bookstores
- restaurants (sometimes with other people, but more often by myself)
- climbing gym
- regular gym
- sitting on the grass under a tree somewhere on campus reading/studying
- in the mountains or desert climbing, camping and/or hiking

*walking around a certain street which has a lot of music and interesting places

I absoultely love strategy games as well like Settlers of Catan and Magic. I hate chess though. I don't have the mental energy to plan 20 turns ahead.

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.

Places I hang:
- The casino (I make most of my money from poker). When I was younger I was really into strategy games as well (YGO, Magic, VS, games like that) so before the casino it was the local comic shops.
- Friends houses (Me and a few of my close friends usually meet 1-2 a week to blaze/watch movies/debate postmodernism) it's really low key and fun and the type of environment I find it easy to relax in, it allows me to release my inner nerd =P.
- At the Bar/random house parties (usually no more than once every 1-2 weeks, and usually only for the purposes of meeting girls if I am being honest). Fun every once in a while but my Fe get's tired after a while so it can be kind of draining.
- At the Gym. Self explanatory, I like to work out. Recently I've stopped going in favour of just doing situps/pushups in my room.
- I tend to go for walks late at night to clear my head/listen to music get the blood flowing (especially if I've been playing internet poker all day). I start feeling stuffy if I go all day without getting outside for an hour or two. It tends to be at night because I am a night person by nature and that's usually the point when I'm feeling stuffy from not getting outside that day for an extended period.
- At the local coffee shop. I meet my mom every sunday for lunch there, and beyond that I'll sometimes use it to meet up with girls/friends initially if my place is a mess (and being LIE, that's more than I'd like to admit).
- In my room. When I'm alone I'm usually browsing the net/playing internet poker/reading/sometimes watching T.V.
In the past you could catch me at the library/local basketball court, but not so much anymore.
- Gym. I work out every other day, so 7 times every two weeks. I seem to be the only person who alternates my schedule, so all the regulars act like "you're back!" It kinda bothered me at first to be noticed like that, but I realize they're just being friendly.
- Bar. My friends and I gather 2-3 times a week. I don't drink alcohol anymore , but I spend money ensuring we listen to at least some non-sucky jukebox music and I play a lot of pool, usually by myself because all my buds got tired of losing to me. People will not infrequently ask if they can challenge me, though, and that's usually good; I like playing by myself and with others for very different reasons. I also like dancing to electronica, and have for years gone out by myself when I (usually) couldn't find others to come with me.
- At home, reading a book, doing math puzzles, watching movies, browsing ... and if I'm high, then I might be found cooking, cleaning, sewing or organizing something.
- At friends' places, playing with their pets until my face itches, talking about mutual interests, trying (usually unsuccessfully) to plan to go outside to do something, watching movies, trying (eventually successfully) to decide where to go eat, reminiscing and laughing uproariously at ourselves, getting high and forgetting what we're talking about and laughing some more.
- At the theater and at restaurants with my SO and/or my friends. I don't see many movies except when my friends make plans to go, although I have no compunctions about going by myself. I usually don't eat out by myself, but not because I feel awkward ... it's because I don't like paying restaurant prices. If it's just me, I'll just grab something at home. But since I have all these dietary restrictions, it's usually easier in a group to go to a restaurant.
- Outdoors - I like hiking, riding bicycles, playing frisbee (including disc golf), exploring new urbanscapes ... I love camping and rambling roadtrips. I will climb anything I think I am physically capable of scaling (although I might be discouraged by legal implications), especially if no one's watching. I pretty much require at least occasion hikes all by my lonesome.
- Helping friends - I don't so much like to broadcast this one, because I certainly have felt like I'm being imposed upon by some, but I get satisfaction out of assisting my close pals with practical concerns. Two years in a row, my birthday present to a particularly impractical friend of mine was to change the oil in his car. I guarantee you it didn't get changed between the first and the second time ... Another time I drove 400 miles to help a friend deal with a shitstorm that had descended upon him including that his car was impounded, thus he couldn't even get around. The second day in, the electricity was cut off, and we actually gathered wood and put the fireplace to its obvious first-ever use to keep from freezing! I think it's also significant to point out that I don't like helping friends because it makes me feel "better-than" or indispensable ... I like it because I am comfortable DOING things, and these times of need provide surmountable challenges in which I both am able to demonstrate a strength and increase the bond between us.
Going to a place I've never been, especially to see natural wonders, has particular draw to me. Doing new things, especially involving a physical component, appeals to me. And I'm always in the mood for a laugh. So when my friends get motivated, I'll allow myself to be dragged to all sorts of things.
