Your preoccupation with "other people" and "what makes them tick" screams NF. An NT would be more likely to think "how they work" or "what they're thinking."
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

That was you? Well, I guess even in cognito you are ENTp.

I'm glad there are socionics experts on this messageboard, people that truly understand you. You are going to learn so much about yourself here.

rmcnew, if you are sure about Ne being your strongest function, then it only leaves ENxP. I'm close to being a borderline ENxP case myself, but in the end, I just don't care that much what happens to people that are not close to me, or how they feel. I also find myself more just than merciful (but I guess that's MBTI crap).

I'm interested in what makes people tick, but aren't most of the people? It must be possible to be ENTP even if you are a little bit interested what motivates other people. NT's can't be so stupid that they would only be interested in "what people are thinking" and leave other important factors unconsidered. If feelings and motivational aspects were left aside, that would leave NT without sufficient information of a person's/group's behaviour, and then his model for the behaviour of that group/person would be inadequate. And that won't do.

I've never seen anyone so confused about their type. It's okay, that's a good thing in my opinion and that means that you have a lot of strengths of both sides of the functions. Balanced people have more trouble on what their type is than those on the extreme.

My post above looks like I'm just talking about myself, but my intention was to reason why you are ENTP.
