    Default Meryl Streep

Tandem with the Philip Seymour Hoffman thread; probably going to see Doubt and I'm just curious about what people think. I think she is definitely ethical and rational; ESI is my first bet. Unsure about Enneagram.

Yeah, she's been typed SLI, but something always seemed a bit off to me with that typing.

    Interesting.

She is one actress who my mother (LSE) and I (EIE) both really gravitate towards, for some reason. She also reminds me of an old friend who I have tentatively typed as ESI.

I'd say Meryl Streep is an ENFj..
    ILE "Searcher"
    Socionics: ENTp
    DCNH: Dominant --> perhaps Normalizing
    Enneagram: 7w6 "Enthusiast"
MBTI: ENTJ "Field Marshall" or ENTP "Inventor"
    Astrological sign: Aquarius

not to stereotype, but would it be easy not to run in with beta NFs quite often in the acting field?

some of these i'm honestly not that sure about (except that i find them quite impressive in some ways.) i do think she reminds me a bit of songofsappho, though.

as for enneagram, maybe 9ish? not really sure.

"All that attention to the perfect lighting, the perfect this, the perfect that, I find terribly annoying.
    Meryl Streep"

That doesn't sound like an Si type to me...

"Everything we say signifies; everything counts, that we put out into the world. It impacts on kids, it impacts on the zeitgeist of the time.
    Meryl Streep"

Ni values? Maybe even Ni with Fe?

"Every single decision I make about what material I do, what I'm putting out in the world, is because of my children.
    Meryl Streep "

    Perhaps an emphasis on Fi?

    Just some thoughts.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

I've always thought Meryl Streep was ESE, personally. I can't see where ILI or SLI comes from at all.

I think this video shows her pretty well:

Hmmm...some Se type, IMO. LSI? ESI perhaps? Reminds me a lot of a girl who had a huge crush on me in high school.

ESE-Si feels like it would be a good approximation for her type. ethical rational in any case.

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

    .Fi.

Edit: Just read these quotes. . . delta Fi imo

I go to a lot of movies where people are all around me laughing, and I feel like I'm from outer space because I find it dangerous and stupid and horrible and degrading to women and all these things.

I am a humanist. I am for nice, easy balance.

Acting is not about being someone different. It's finding the similarity in what is apparently different, then finding myself in there.

Service is the only thing that's important about love. Everybody is worried about 'losing yourself' - all this narcissism. Duty. We can't stand that idea now either... But duty might be a suit of armor you put on to fight for your love.

Men should look at the world as if something is wrong when their voices predominate. They should feel it.
