I've seen people do it - look for love from other people. I'm so glad I don't have to deal with that.

That too ...As an ESTp with the same hidden agenda, I'll answer this too.
Basically, we want others to show approval/affection towards us. When people do that, it feels like you're on top of the world. However, when I don't get that type of approval, I get really pissed.

Oh, love isn't an emotion at all. I read a rather enlightening article about it the other day. The feeling someone gets when they are in love is basically the same feeling they get when they experience a "reward response." The hidden agendas of no less than FOUR, I REPEAT: FOUR, TYPES claim that these people aim to love or be loved, that is LOVE. So I think that it has a lot to do with socionics, at least FOUR out of 16 types. If you read my post I am not asking about romantic love but love as used in socionics!
