I've had incredibly varied experiences with them. Some I've found to be awesome, funny, spirited and smart, some others I've found to be incredibly shallow, materialistic and bitchy.

they don't always care that much about others.
Oh yeah and they are very materialistic.
My mum is ISFj. She's ok most of the time I guess, sometimes she really bothers me because she has a tendency to really get quickly hurt and offended by something, which is fine I suppose, but then she shows a complete lack of interest toward understanding why she reacted that way and what caused the drama.
It means that we tend to go around in circles a little with arguments, which is ok usually because at least things are learned from it, but in her case it just tends to be a case of history repeating itself. I'm sure I'm partially at fault here too, but yeah, she can be very close-minded at times.
Still love her to bits though!

ISFjs are often insecure about extremely easy things, and can easily end up doing things they do not like simply because they think they should, thus living an entire life of unhappiness because they do not realize the presence of out-of-the-box solutions to their problems.

I met an ISFJ girl today. Fi subtype (the moralist)
She was the most kind person I have ever met in my life. She is shy, very modest, and really kind. Pretty submissive too, except with certain aspects she takes on initiative and lead. That was surprising.
ISFJ's can really differ from eachother... from super kind, to lying bitches
I know two ISFj females and one of them is my mom's best friend. Both of the them are GREAT hostesses. They love to have people over, which I admire since I'm not a good hostess at all. They're perfectionistic and go overboard (in a good way) with making sure people are comfortable and happy. They go to great lengths to take care of their family and go to bat for them. They are superior advocates for their loved ones in any arena. they both have fabulous homes, decorated very well and kept extremely clean. (again, I admire)
On the negative end of things, they both tend to gossip and be a bit catty. I wouldn't want to be on the bad side of either of these two. yikes.
