Default A girl I know (including VI)

This girl has appeared in some of my photos on here before. If you therefore recognize her please (at least temporarily) forget past associations and just look at what's presented in this thread.

I find VI interesting - both for what it says about the VI-ee and the VI-ers. Plus, it's just plain fun. So, we'll start off with that. Written descriptions may or may not follow.

The one I posted in Expat's shrine thread.

Another of her concentrating on computing.

Reffing a game. (It's hard to see, but she's got a pen and paper in her hands.)

Oh, to find you in dreams - mixing prior, analog, and never-beens... facts slip and turn and change with little lucidity. except the strong, permeating reality of emotion.

I agree on her Socionics type, based on VI. I'm not familiar enough with Enneagram to offer any opinion.

From a recent trip to a local Saturday Market.

    She didn't buy it.

Discussing wares and prices with a seller.

    Declining to buy.

Trying to get the bowl to sing.

In this one, she was playing with someone else, trying to pick up and learn the chords as they went.

    Posing with a new friend.

The dog is not so much her friend.

    Lost in thought...

I don't think she's EII... I don't quite see why everyone is guessing IJ based on these pictures.

Perhaps ISTp? Although I wouldn't rule out INFj either.

So when are we going to find out what her type really is? I am very curious :-)

Here're a couple more recent pics (from last night, actually):

Thoughtful and before-cognizing that I was taking her picture - or, rather, at the sunset of another thought and the dawn of perceiving me.

Doing a not-so-good job of acting like she was waiting for the train, even though she really was waiting. (Have I mentioned she's not good at acting?)

With little confidence, I'd guess from the description that she has stronger Se, weaker Ni and possibly a less static/rigid approach to Fi and Te than you (if that makes sense...). If you're INFj, then both ENFp or ISFp is consistent with (for ENFp, I'm assuming that role is stronger than PoLR and ignoring is weaker than demonstrative)
Cool, thanks. I think it does make sense, though if you feel like elaborating please do.

Yes, she does have an interest in people's well-being, but she isn't always practical about it - not like I'd think an ESFj would be.

usually ESFJs are focused on the object and, if criticized, they defend their choice with "i like it and if you don't - don't use it. go find something else for you."
I don't remember her saying much when she tried on the hats, except maybe, "...[I'm going to try on] the fuzzy one..." She did ask my opinion on some other things, though, like the earrings she's holding up in that one picture. She would occasionally make quiet comments like, "Ooh, that's pretty" or "I like this; it looks kind of delicate, though." Once she tried on a bracelet and asked me what I thought. I told her it reminded me of blood (because it did). A couple of minutes later she asked, "Did it really make you think of blood?" with a look of dismayed disgust.

She didn't do any of what you describe an ESFj doing. Or even ESFp. She didn't compare herself to anyone or any style.

You think IP temperament? Why that as opposed to the other three?

I want to gather more opinions and reasonings. There's a type I have had in mind for her, but it goes contrary to or somewhat to the side of some of the opinions in this thread.

I asked her to look over Diana's recent functions experiment and here was her answer.

Here is the order of the top 4 most like me from closest to furthest
    #3, 6, 5, 2.
So you don't have to go look them up, here are each of the ones she listed:

    3) I see the direction things are headed, my thoughts run path-like or
as vectors, and where something is leading is easy for me to
determine, not as tangible physical connections, but in an intangible
    and intuitive way.

    6) I am very aware of the underlying process, what's going on 'beneath
the surface' of an individual or group, and the 'vibes' or atmosphere
of a group. The political atmosphere, or general sentiment is easy for
    me to pick up.

    5) I have a very good feel for the connections between people/things,
easily make value judgments or character determinations, and notice
    the closeness/distance between people.

    2) I am most aware of the physical world, what is, and observable
    qualities of a person/object. I don't get lost in what-ifs or could-
bes, but see things as they are now. I easily size people up.

you remind me of one of my INFJ friends who denied what i read in a roman chronicle, that our ancestors were drunkards and thieves, but she wanted to believe they were wise and romantic without any reason. maybe the roman governor's opinion was politically biased but at least it was an opinion from that time instead of idealist speculation.
    good luck!
If I was really of that mindset, why would I be keeping my options open? Why don't I just say, "She is this; you are all wrong"? You presume too much about my wants, methinks.

Of everyone who's contributed to this thread so far, you've given the most concrete examples, and I appreciate that.

You think IP temperament? Why that as opposed to the other three?
Well, it is kind of difficult to determine someone's type from a few photos and a short description, but ISFp is my best guess. I'm really even more inclined to guess that she is ISFp after those last two photos you posted. They look characteristically ISFp to me. Also, I knew 3 ISFp's in high school and they all dressed in a fashionable yet unique and slightly artsy style, and it seems like she has a similar sense of style.

I think she is definitely a perceiving type based on what you wrote in your description by saying she is more relaxed and more likely to push boundaries, etc. I think that IP types usually need more variety, especially ISxP types. You wrote that she would rather use a hands-on approach in figuring out how something works, rather than stopping to think about it first. That seems very XSxP to me. I guess it's sort of hard to determine that she is an introvert based on the description, but you said that she sometimes has a hard time expressing how she really feels, which seems more characteristic of an introvert. She also just looks like an introvert, although I don't really know how to describe why. I don't really sense any intuition from either her photos or the description. In all her photos she seems pretty engaged with the physical world which implies that she is a sensing type. She seems like a warm, caring, sensitive person which is usually more typical of feeling types (not that thinking types aren't caring, but she just seems like a feeler). So I would say that XSFP seems pretty certain, and I don't really think she looks ESFp. Also, i thought she almost looked like an ISTp earlier, and I know ISTp's and ISFp's can look similar.

So are you not sure of what her personality type really is? I was under the impression that you knew her type and wanted us to guess what it was.

    She has quite nice eyes.

I'd say Delta, most likely. She's definitely Ne/Si.

Minde, do you come from one of these stereotypical small US towns populated solely by Deltas who always "look, we don't want no trouble out here - we got a nice little community and we wanna keep it that way"?
