    Yes, I'm an ESFP.

I think the way she expresses her and can seem aggressive to some, but I don't think of her as aggressive, either.

I've been there in 1997 and found it rather genteel, but all city centres are genteel. Even Edinburgh has tough outskirts. Scotsmen often brag about how tough Glasgow is, don't they?

She doesn't sound aggressive to me, and I'm generally pretty sensitive to that.

You're probably ESFp ethical subtype, then.

It's changed. Nobody would regard it these days as a "tough" city as Liverpool is or used to be. And the outskirts of Edinburgh are far less tough than London's.

    That's been covered.

And INFps and ENFps seem to be drawn to each other in general, it seems, at least initially.

    I like ENFps!

ESFps could like INFps because they are semi-duals...

    INFps make nice supervisors anyway

what kind of stuff are you into, music-wise/art-wise etc?

usually i find that enfps have interesting taste in music/art/bla bla bla. kind of like esfps except different.

same thing with istps and intps. i am just searching for things that remind me of intps about you and it's quite difficult for me.

also if i'm isfj, as has been suggested in this forum, i can say with 100% certainty that you are not supervising me, and i'm reasonably certain that you aren't my benefactor, my semi-dual, or any crazy shit like that.
    Implied, as for ESFjs:
My mom is ESFj and so is a close friend. They like stability and can be silly, but not quite to my extent. I draw out much of the silliness with them. They are traditional in terms of hospitality and little rituals. Perhaps the ESFjs I know are a bit different than others, but "bullshit" might be a bit strong a term here.

I don't want to advertise my type. Someone doubted it and I wanted to see what's up with that. I makes sense that someone might assume I'm ESFp because I'm very close with two of them. That was the intent.

As for music, art: I like things that strike a chord. I like punk because it's political or Kahlo because she is the same. In a nutshell.

My sister is ISFj and I certainly supervise her and I'm sure she would agree. I don't want to evaluate my relationship with you because I think it has been more strained lately than before and that can be misleading. And I have a feeling that you might just not like the idea that I could supervise you. Fair enough.

I have used this as an opportunity to go back and reflect on my type, read descriptions, look at functions and talk to people who know me well.
    It all points to ENFp.

Oh, and as for my Si:
enfps seek out Introverted Sensing stimulation quite often, so really they have pretty good Introverted Sensing.
I do, actually, but it doesn't come naturally.

well, no. don't most people like their supervisor at least sometimes per rocky's description? even you have said that you like intjs etc.
Right, they would. I don't know. I really don't much pay much tribute to the relations as indicator for type. I will say that it's all interesting to play around with.

i just keep looking for that snarky enfp ironic humor that i get out of him /in you/ and i don't see it. it makes him seem nearly entj sometimes.
Ah, I see. I actually have a pretty cynical sense of humor, but I will have Delta comment on this one since she knows me in real life. I find it rather difficult to pinpoint my particular type of humor for some reason.

My own experience is that if you "submit" to the supervision it can be a very positive experience for both. The more the supervisee tries to rebel the more tension there is. Rebellion _never_ has had a positive effect. Supervisor can hit your weak spots so easily and you just can't do the same. Rebellion = mental pain for you.

When around an ESFj woman I really feel like she is my step mother or something. I just have to play the "nice kid" role and listen carefully all advice given and obey all commands and they will like me and support me. They usually have a very strictly defined role that a man should play and trying to make me fit this role seems to always be one of their main goals. The language needed for successful interation with ESFj woman contains pretty much following sentences: "Yes", "Yes please", "I totally agree", "It is my pleasure", "Of course I will", "Thank you very much", "I'm so sorry". Ok..this applies to all male-female interaction to some extent haha.

With ESFj guys it is more like a big brother - little brother thing and not as controlling.

I bet the experience is different for other types ESFjs being very caring and controlling by nature.

Oh, and if you have a supervisor child or supervisee boss then I bet things can get ugly.
