Eh, I don't know, I've known a shitload of ESTps whose favorite pastime was drinking with the buddies and smoking pot. While I don't see anything wrong with it, I'd hardly call this a disciplined approach to life. I've also known some disciplined ESTps, but basically such a variety seems to make it unclear whether discipline can be linked to Ti, or not. Usually the people I see as valuing discipline are IJs', especially male IJs'

Haha. Sounds like it is going to be easy to antagonize your kid into getting countered.

that is what i was getting at. if there is an inescapable appropriation that is required in the act of understanding, this brings into question the validity of socionics in describing what is real, and hence stubborn contradictions that continue to plague me.

Based on that beta-esque diatribe you went on in stickam that time, I figured our opinions on children were pretty similar, lol.

True. The last time I got in trouble I was outnumbered 3 to 1 and one of them was carrying a car baton. They did not know, however, that I always carry a large pocket knife. I avoided confrontation altogether because I know that I wouldn't have hesitated to stab them and that's serious trouble. Sounds cowardly, but I ran; nothing to prove to anyone.

You know what? You're an individual, and that makes people nervous. And it's gonna keep making people nervous for the rest of your life.

If the conflict is verbal, and if I know I am right, I stand my ground

If the conflict is verbal, and if I am arguing with someone much older than I, I think twice before arguing (the same goes for someone with a large amount of power over me).

In physical confrontation, I listen to my gut.

Exactly. SLEs can be disciplined motherfuckers; they can also be the laziest bastards on the planet.

I don't recall a 'beta-esque diatribe'. If you consider diatribe as aggressive or abusive or prolonged, then 'diatribe' is an inaccurate description of my behavior.

    Sarcastic; yes. Diatribe; no.
