the book by Jeffrey Eugenides.
Totally, don't you think? Possibly
(I mean the protagonist, it's written in first person. but I don't see how the author could be anything different)
Anyone else read it?

IEI-Fe 4w3
Haven't read that but I've read The Virgin Suicides (well, like 3/4 of it since I got bored with it). I'd be more inclined to say ILI > IEI if it comes down to those two options, though I'm sure the field could be much wider than that. Examples of a more IEI writer to me might be like James Joyce, James Baldwin, or Zora Neale Hurston.
