This is getting pitiful. You can't pick apart a person's every reason for doing something over the internet. You have lost the context of the person's behavior if you attempt that. You have to ignore their reasons and just look at the person's behavior.

In light of what has been said, this guy doesn't seem Ij, or delta, in the slightest.

What you mean by "values immediate results over long term speculative degrees and such" is related to him not being a "big dreamer," (as I put it.) You're right--it could be more related to his life-circumstances than his type... Regardless, to my knowledge, he's not, as the classic INFp description goes, dreaming of "bright cities which might be built one day." He would probably consider such speculation kinda unrealistic, and goofy.

You know, I would probably say the same things about myself. Not that that means much ... but just saying ... But it's hard to tell, because for instance I'm always saying I want to 'get back into a routine', but usually never do. lol But others may say the same thing, and actually do it - which would be more telling than what the person may tell you.

The impulsive in love thing ... You might say that points to irrationality .. but I could give completely opposite answers to different people depending on how I'm feeling. If I was feeling wary, I would probably say I'm cautious, while I'd say I was impulsive if I was feeling great about it. And that's how I am - I need to know the situation. But maybe this guy is cautious all the time regardless, in which case what he said might be telling.

Saying he's 'boring' could be reality or it could be self-deprecation.

I think the screaming thing sounds more like creative Fe, because I don't think a dominant Fe would say that they care about what other people think about them (even if they do).

But yeah, in general I don't think you can tell much from these sort of things unless you know his motivation for saying them. But you're intuitive - maybe you can tell. (c:

did i read somewhere right that this is someone you're dating or wanting to? i have been kinda skimming... if so, i'm gonna give advice instead of a typing, sorry ahead of time if you don't want it.

stop analyzing him and just have fun with him if you like him. does he LIKE that you're asking him the kinds of questions that lead to analyzing his type? if so, ok, then tell him what you're doing. if you wouldn't be comfortable telling him that you're into type and (for fun) you're seeing if you two might be a "match," that is telling in and of itself.

but, he might be flattered that you're wanting to see if you two are "compatible" and if he is repulsed by the idea that you're doing this, he isn't the one for you anyway since you're all about this kind of stuff...
