it is unusual given the rather extraordinary proportion of people who come in here flaunting themselves as intuitives, especially NT types. the nature of this site as well as -- possibly -- the nature of similar internet communities have a role in dictating the predominance of intuitives to this kind of an environment, but even so a vast majority of people come here announcing themselves as intuitives, with ESE and SEE being very rare as initial self-typings (although not necessarily absent from the community).

generally, most of the people that are attracted to this kind of a community are relatively intelligent and interested in certain ideas which may be predominantly abstractions -- basically, there is probably a significantly higher sample of people that test as N on MBTI tests than actually correspond to socionics intuitors. this is just another component of the significant amount of initial mistypings that go on, such as yourself (i don't really intend to turn this into an argument but it's remarkably difficult for me to see you as ILI; IMO you are among this group).

ultimately, people who come announcing themselves as SEEs are very rare by comparison. there are a couple of case studies, some of whom have revealed more information about themselves than others. suffice to say, there have been people who have stormed here as SEEs who have proven to be SEEs, as well as people who have proven to be anything but SEE. remember astralsilky's entrance?

I see it's more significant how many people, including you (maybe some of them have learned it from you), mistype other people on this board, by putting considerable overweight on insignificant details, just like this one. Which is the way one is not supposed to type anyone in order to get valid results. And that's probably not the only mistake.

i agree that the fact that he's made a thread declaring himself as SEE means nothing, but hoodrat's behavior can be considered more specifically in the realm of SEEs, where i think some legitimate comparisons can be made. i would ask you to take this conversation to PM, but frankly i really don't care about justifying anything to you.


additionally, there are by my count at least 2, probably 3 SEEs in the general forum community that initially mistyped themselves and for this reason
never created SEE introductory threads. to say that there exists a roughly equal proportion of SEEs and SEE threads is grossly blind to the situation.

1) I don't think I like niffweed very much

2) Posts from ILIs (other types too, but especially ILIs) are awesome

3) i found socionics through stumble-upon

4) I found my socionic type from quadra values/function descriptions/IM elements on wikisocion.org and socionics.us [i first found socionics.com and had to basically reteach myself after i found socionics.us]

5) I am a male, and a pretty good looking one (a strapping 21 year old)

I'm curious as to how this ILI acts and what she is like generally since I'm trying to find RL information about ILI females versus having to rely on mere theory. Of course, if that does not seem like a good idea, ignore me.

Now, as for ILIs... I think I have two pinned down for sure in my life. A male and a female. I'll tell you about her since that's what you seem to be interested in (p.s. I could never ignore you...)

well...on second though (i just got done writing a couple of paragraphs, then deleted them once i realized it probably wouldn't make much sense or actually help you), the best advice i could give you is to just "be yourself" and do whatever feels natural. I used to be a bit concerned about the way my type should be acting to attract duals, but it really does happen naturally when you just open up, try to be yourself, and don't care about what other people around you think....

But if you want information that's a little more objective, maybe this will help:

If I could sum up my female ILI in a few words (from my point of view, not hers because that's really hard to think about), it would be.....

receptive, good sense of humor, witty, sarcastic, playful, helpful, unemotional (she expresses her appreciation in other ways, which are much better ), gullible, open (not afraid to discuss anything), mature.... umm that's all i can think of for now

One of the girls I work with, I'm pretty sure is ILI. Although I can't really think of anything to say about her that hasn't already been covered. Pretty similar to me in some ways from what I've noticed, but obviously work isn't the best environment for getting to know people.
