One of the things that occurred to me while I was rereading A Separate Peace was that the two main characters seemed to be an INTp and an ESFp and the relationship between the two resembled one of duality. (How rare and intriguing to see socionic concepts illustrated both accurately and unknowingly!) The themes of this novel could relate to the functions Ni and Fi, both gamma quadra values. So I guess, in a sense, this novel could be considered "gamma."

written by Chuck Palahniuck. I was obsessed with Fight Club. Do his stories say Beta?
Fight Club and Chuck Palahniuk say ENTP. Anti-authority, weird, little bit cynical.

Fight Club is totally ENTp. Nobody creates chaos quite like we do.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

ENTps aren't the only types that exist, you know. Chuck's books encapsulate the Beta spirit of revolution, emo, identity, and "hitting bottom".
Binary or dichotomous systems, although regulated by a principle, are among the most artificial arrangements that have ever been invented. -- William Swainson, A Treatise on the Geography and Classification of Animals (1835)

Yeah, I guess. But it's more of a medium between Beta's revolution and Delta's "taking action" where other people sit back.

Then again, Alpha is the laid back quadra, so this makes zero sense.

In spite of the fact that ENTp's mix well with Alpha, I can't help but get the feeling that they belong somewhere else.

I don't remember much emo in those Chuck's books that I read. I don't remember the names, neither was Fight Club though (I was thinking about the movie when I commented). Also the ENTP -minded can relate to revolution and "hitting bottom".

And in the end, ENTPs will be the only type, muhahahahaha...

Could this be why I never really liked that movie as much as everyone else around here does

Senior year, it was "FIIIIIIIIGHHHHHHT CLLUUUUUUUUB!!!!!"

Posts I wrote in the past contain less nuance.

F*** how come you are all so brainwashed? The author is INFp the book is totally beta and even the actor in the movie is INFp. Stop talking out of your idealised ENTp asses and learn to research and analyze before you speak. Not every great person is ENTp.

*grabs the forceps and sets about removing the stick from Krae's ass*

    1. How do you know the author is INFp? What makes you so sure?

    2. What makes you think the guy in the movie is INFp? He's not like any INFps I know; more like an INFj or INTj if you ask me.

    3. Who ever said that every great person is an ENTp?

    4. Why do you feel the need to be an impatient prick about little stupid stuff like this?

Care to explain? (You might want to do it in "ENFp vs. ENTp," though).

I'm asking you a quesiton, dumbfuck; it wasn't an attempt to be original or witty or clever. Either answer or don't.

I totally dig Fight Club/Pahlaniuk as well. Sure, it's a lot about personal identity vs. society, revolution and the like but I think what makes it stand out is how Pahlaniuk uses violence... The chances that I would actually engage in a fist fight like that are pretty slim, yet I'm really drawn to literary depictions of it. Dual seeking function anyone?

Hey, your defending everything Chuck -related like he was the founding father of cult INFP.

At least I am not going to "research" before I state my opinion on some guys type. If the opinion doesn't sound right, even with justifications, then it doesn't.
