Default Possible Enneagram types of forum members

    I'm currently thinking :

    Rick : 9
    Herzy : 8
    Ezra : 7
    Niffweed17 : 4
    Joy : 3
    Tcaud : 5
    Bionicgoat : 9
    FDG : 7
    Expat : 6
    Kristiina : 2
    Liveandletlive : 7
    UDP : 1

If your Etype is nothing like what I mentioned, please consider me as a devil's advocate.

    Not bad, not bad, actually.

However, I would put Ezra as an 8, Herzy as 7. Not sure about 6 for Expat either.

*shrug* 6 is often used as a jack-of-all-trades of Enneatypes, especially because you have the counterphobic version as well. I think that low-Fi types often tend to see Fi-valuing types as 6ish. I think that, all things considered, 6 is closest to ISFjs who are a bit too anxious about Ne.

Also, I think Kristiina as 2 makes no sense. I think she's a clear 3.

I'm really not an 8. There's no way in hell I can be an 8. Even cp 6 or 3 makes more sense.

probably none of my random typings should be taken all that seriously. i'll try to come up with a more thorough list of general impressions, but my grasp of parts of the enneagram isn't that strong.

Despite what he says about Five, I could see him as a One or Five on top of this.

Nonetheless, I've had a bit of a think about people and their not really being any Enneagram type, because I'm beginning to see it in myself.

Well, clearly you did, otherwise you wouldn't have come up with what you did.

    Yes.

I said you were a Six based on how doubting you are. You seem to flit from one thing to the other on a whim, without any basis. It's like you're searching for who you are; what encompasses you.

Ha! If you read about Nines, I think you'll find he's a Five. He and Bionicgoat are a perfect distinction between a Five and a Nine respectively.

Clearly not. That niffweed responds "ok" doesn't mean anything. He is an extremely obvious Five. (One of the most obvious Nines on the forum is Bionicgoat.)

    BIONICGOAT!

    couldn't help it.

Perhaps you're considered a 9 because you are naturally a good mediator and naturally very good at keeping the peace between everyone. You're also one of the least offensive people on the forum. You're a very nice, friendly person, and even when you're not being nice you still manage to be nice. (I know that made loads of sense.) You're just very good at this sort of thing.

I've tested 3, but the motivations don't fit. I'll take freedom > recognition any day. I won't deny sort of enjoying things like having influential positions in organizations I'm involved in, but I think that's more so because it means that I can more effectively accomplish things I want to accomplish. It's a reflection of my success in accomplishing a step toward my goals (namely, financial freedom), not because of social status. And of course, it's always better to be the one who delegates to others instead of the one who's being delegated to. It's not fun having others make decisions for you.

I don't. I've witnessed too much instigating from you.

Seriously though, I could imagine you as being closer to a 2 irl. I'll bet you like doing nice stuff for people you like. I'll bet you can be one of the kindest people you know (unless someone has given you a reason not to be, or unless you just don't like that person or whatever).

Intimate Threes' motivation for achieving goals is more intrinsic than Social Threes'.

Are there threes that care about freedom and independence far, far more than recognition and achievement?

Interestingly, I've found that lately I'm not nearly as goal oriented as I once was. I still think it's very important to have big "dreams", but I don't necessarily think that setting dates for accomplishment and all that jazz is productive anymore. It makes forward movement seem like work when it should feel more like catching a current and riding it to where ever it is you want to go. Swimming against the current and telling yourself you HAVE to reach a certain destination by a certain point in time just makes for an endless sense of struggle and sets you up for unhappiness because even when/if you achieve your goal, you're just left looking for the next thing to struggle towards. I'm done struggling.

Anyways, my point was that I use the word "goal" because saying "dream" just sounds weird.

I can be pretty offensive, lol. I think maybe it's that I'm pretty good at dealing with groups of people... moving from one set of understood social rules and whatnot to another. I do a sort of chamelion trick, ya know?

I'm not evil though, that's what counts Sometimes things just need to be stired up, or they'll get stale. I like entertainment, if I don't see anything entertaining around I tend to create it myself.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I was getting at. You don't seem like a caustic person, but you certainly don't seem to value peace above all else.

I value peace... I don't like at all when things get out of hand (keep in mind I'm saying "out of hand" for me) I tend to keep the trouble I stir up benieth a cirtain level... but then, lol... sometimes I can make things that I lose control of, socially. These things can take on a life of their own sometimes

He doesn't seem like an ultra-EJ type of 2 (falling all over himself to help people out in any and every way), but I could see him deriving his sense of importance from being there for people or doing little nice things for people. Picking up a friend's favorite flavor of snapple when he runs inside the gas station, staying up all night to hang out with a friend who's got something important and big and nerve wrecking to the next day and can't sleep, etc.

(We all derive our sense of important from different things, and I think it says a lot about us.)

As if taken from a lunatic's diary. Niffweed is definitely a 5, I am the most certain 5 imaginable, Expat is an 8 for certain, Rick is without question a 7, and Rmcnew ... a 1? That suggestion wins first prize in the Absurdity Contest.

That's right. And Phaedrus is E4. Due to his confrontational nature, he's S- instead of S0.

I am certainly not an E4. As for the other aspects, I haven't investigated them enough yet.
