Kaurismäki is Fe PoLR and very irrational.

Lots of directors are dynamic types.

I think Ep types are not usually highly regarded among critics.

It's interesting to see that now when he is older he is actually reacting a little to the emotional mood. In the clip where he is young he is cold as hell. It's really surprising to me because I expect people to be emotionally reactive to some degree but in the other clip he is just non-reactive. But it's funny!

Yeah dynamic types are good at film making. is very important in film making. I think many good directors are IEI or ILI. I once met an ILI who was studying film editing at the university of design. She said that it's a very special field and that you just have to have the natural talent for it.
The decisive thing is not the reality of the object, but the reality of the subjective factor, i.e. the primordial images, which in their totality represent a psychic mirror-world. It is a mirror, however, with the peculiar capacity of representing the present contents of consciousness not in their known and customary form but in a certain sense sub specie aeternitatis, somewhat as a million-year old consciousness might see them.

ILI is the only type i see for him. And he is playful. When he tells how he got into film. (Just like that "snap"). Also he seems really IP. But not all ILIs are playful. He also seems like a stereotypical Fe polr. I can't explain much more. But i cant see LSE. They are not as vague and open ended as him. And not so conceptual.

I was watching a behind-the-scenes documentary about the Godfather trilogy and Francis Ford Coppola struck me as an ENFP. Okay, maybe ENTP, though he seems more motivated by ethics than logic, so this type is less likely. Either way, I have a hard time seeing him as anything other than a Ne lead.

i think Stanley Kubrick is ILI. i like this quote about him:
"Stanley was a very stoic, impassive but imaginative type person with strong, imaginative thoughts. He commanded respect in a quiet, shy way. Whatever he wanted, you complied, he just captivated you. Anybody who worked with Stanley did just what Stanley wanted"

i haven't watched many Quentin Tarantino movies, in general his movies don't really interest me. anyways, intuitively he seems EIE.
thats about all the movie directors i know from the top of my mind

Woody Allen seems to me like an ILI Creative subtype
The decisive thing is not the reality of the object, but the reality of the subjective factor, i.e. the primordial images, which in their totality represent a psychic mirror-world. It is a mirror, however, with the peculiar capacity of representing the present contents of consciousness not in their known and customary form but in a certain sense sub specie aeternitatis, somewhat as a million-year old consciousness might see them.
