I think the most ridiculous line (I think this is more Lucas' fault than Portman) in the movie was when Padme popped out Luke and Leia and she named them AS THEY WERE COMING OUT OF HER BABY CAVE.

I just see her as this pseudo-intellectual type. Overrated. I'm probably annoyed because I see some of myself in her, but I'm much more animated... although that is how I would behave if I were trying to be "modest"

She's anything but a pseudo-intellectual. I've watched the Letterman interview and there were some pauses in her speech that I believe to be genuine attempts to answer intelligently. Plus, psychology isn't something you do for fun, you have to be interested.

She reminds me of one time, back in high school, when I had to give a presentation in front of a group of professors and the solution found to manage stress was to consider them my peers and I ended up sounding.... let's say... not all that academic.

Well, I think weak Se is pretty obvious; in the first video she talks openly about how nervous she is. Also note her reaction to the plane thing. Fe quadra: she giggles a lot. In fact, I think INFp might make more sense; she seems to be amused by the possibility of someone shooting at the plane.

hah! i was kind of annoyed with her, too, reading some background stuff about her. no idea why. maybe a "tries too hard" thing?

i disagree that psych is something you can't do for fun. this is one of those "fun" majors i thought about going after, but it seemed too impractical and didn't seem to pay much.

re: the videos -- i haven't watched them. just read a little bit about her. i just didn't see anything other than maybe v.i. and a "bloodless face" to suggest INTj. most INTj women really don't really give me the same impression.

it's just what happens when people come to a decision too quickly or based on too little information. you can sort of make an "impression" i suppose, but being able to immediately say, "NE INTJ!!!" based on one picture and little background info seems like a joke.
