The key to understanding the 32 types is to understand how each function works in the conscious blocks and the unconscious blocks. One can't simply say that a function is a compulsion(unconscious) or a function is comfortable(conscious) to understand how each type works. Lets look at the INTj first. The INTj values -Ti/+Te +Ne/-Ni consciously and -Se/+Si -Fe/+Fi unconsciously. These functions in their order are connected, they are one in the same. +Ne/-Ni conscious valued is -Se/+Si unconscious valued. +Ne/-Ni in an INTjs causes the INTj to be extremely relativistic. INTjs look at all possible perspectives. INTjs love original, and are proactive in seeking it. -Se/+Si is a compulsion and unconsciously valued. Because of this, INTjs are over the top in their need to rebel. INTjs hate authority and will never submit to any source. INTjs with a +Se POLR have a hard time performing routine tasks. Its almost as if the INTj starts off aggressively, but runs out of energy completely.
Now look at the ESFj and its perceiving functions. -Se/+Si makes ESFjs naturally aggressive. They are aggressive with everything that they do. They have a +Ni/-Ne POLR so they hate routine things. The +Ne/-Ni unconscious motivator causes ESFjs to attempt to be creative with all the tasks that they undertake. They always try to understand everyones viewpoints. The +Se/-Si unconscious unvalued function causes ESFjs to hate the laid back approach of things, thorough approach. ESFjs tend to explosively maintain themselves through a task. They are better at finishing than the INTj, but they tend to give all their energy to the initiation and the persistence of the task, not the routine casual +Se/-Si way.
Now to understand how the 32 types work, makes the INTjs perceiving functions work more like the ESFjs and make the ESFjs work more like the INTjs. Most probably anyways though, as I have said before, the unconscious functions leak into the conscious, and the conscious functions leak into the unconscious.
