Could someone elaborate on the LIE's ineptitude with time-keeping please? What function is this related to?

This is basically in response to an old thread I just picked up for Fabio.

Shouldn't that be the other way around? Shouldn't the LIE, with strong Ni (time-telling abilities) be reminding the ESI of the time?

Nope. LIE's are far less likely to be punctual than ESI's. That's one of the things ESI's help LIE's with.

Remember, Ni is not about schedules, time (as in what the clock says), or dates. Ni is about the flow of events and the future/past. (That's what's meant when Ni is described as being about "time".)

"The ESI does not think about the future" is a wild exaggeration. What happens is that the inclination of the LIE to think in what he will do tomorrow, or next week, rather than in a couple of hours (if what he will do tomorrow or next week is more important) may lead him to pay little attention about the need to get ready, or do something, for the next couple of hours. If you think ahead too much, you neglect present-moment things. The LSE is the precise opposite.

The ESI is more anxious about the future; if there is the awareness that something has to be done soon, the ESI prefers to do it as soon as possible in order to cease worrying about whether it will be too late or not.
