Thread: What is her type?

    Default What is her type?

Here is a pic that I took of my gf:

    -She is very independent
-Seems like she has a 'secret life' and she doesn't let anyone see it.
-She comes across as very cold and is not too affectionate
-She needs to have her 'alone' time
    -Very sceptical
-She majored in mathematics but at the same time she is very creative. (I am a photographer and she is one of the best photo editors that I had so far, she has a good eye for it)
-She does what she wants - doesn't break under pressure
-Doesn't let people get to close to her.
-Seems like she doesn't need anyone and she liks to be alone but at the same time you can depend on her.
-She has a sick sense of humor. I think she is really funny because she doesn't hold back.
-Says what she means and she gets really passionate about things that she believes in.

There is so much more but that is all I can think of for now.

Could she be INTJ or P??

    Thanks

oh wow, i was going to say ISTj, because she looks like my ISTj friend.

seems i think people are judgers whom others think are perceivers, as it has happened once before on this forum.

    Thanks!

I guess I thought of her as being INTx as opposed to a sensing type.

    Some more info:
-She has the 'don't expect much from people and you won't get disappointed' kind of attitude. She just doesn't feel that you should expect people to act the way you would like them to.

-When she gets really annoyed/disappointed with someone she can just end the relationship without giving it a second thought. She is able to move on and seems not to be bothered by it.

-In fact, it seems that she can just let go of anyone

-She can be a total goof around some people and never show how serious she can be.

-Gets really, REALLY annoyed when she gets whistled or howled at. It doesn't matter if she is alone or with someone - she turns around and goes up to that person and confronts them!
Saying: is that the only form of communication you know...making incoherent sounds!

-She will defend her point of view even when she is the only one in a group of 10.

-Doesn't understand why people get grossed out by 'natural' things - anything gross...lol

Anyways, thanks again for all the responses.

Yeah, she really sounds like an SLI.

-She will defend her point of view even when she is the only one in a group of 10.
    That sounds just like me.

-In fact, it seems that she can just let go of anyone
    Fe PoLR?

-Doesn't understand why people get grossed out by 'natural' things - anything gross...lol
Sounds more like sensing... the intuitives seem to get gross out more easily.

    BTW, she hot!

I'm not convinced about her being an ISTp, even if this seems to be the general consensus

I suspect ESTj (the Administrator), also the ISTp is the mirror of ESTj
and vice-versa, so probably that's why is easy to take one for the other.

No, none of the traits below suggest ESTj:

I also think ISTp/SLI. Very clearly.

You guys are gonna think I'm barking up the wrong tree, but there is a glimmer in her eyes that says to me, INTx.

I had a close friend in highschool who was ISTp. I don't get that vibe from this person. My ISTp friend was quite emotional, but in an intellectual way.

I'm by no means sure though. It may just be the makeup. I'd have to see her writing to know for sure. ISTps have a "I'm saying it but it makes sense" kind of ring to them.

Rocky doesn't come off to me as cold, even from an emotional standpoint.
Another thing: the sick sense of humor. Don't know many ISTPs who have one of those....

Why not lets get heimdallr's opinion on this?

INTx women are a rare find. Do you notice that look in her eye where one eye is veering off to the left more than the other? They're unfocused. Einstein had that trait.

Nah, she is not INTx, her posture in the picture is way too

Si-Te (if she is indeed an ISTp) or Te-Si (in the case of an ESTj)
simply too evident not to notice it

And I have to add she looks very much like an ESTj

    for example

At first she seemed like a clear ISTp case, but I am starting to get the impression that she might be a Judging type. Probably an IXTj or an EXTj.

When she gets really annoyed/disappointed with someone she can just end the relationship without giving it a second thought. She is able to move on and seems not to be bothered by it.
Now, that's not like me at all. Except, ofcourse, if it's a matter of a very young(short) relationship that I have no feelings about, or if I don't like the person but have been under pressure to act as if I don't mind his/her company.

-She will defend her point of view even when she is the only one in a group of 10.
I usually don't bother explaining something to someone who 's obviously not gonna get it. And when I want to, I usually don't have the words or can't express myself verbally. I need time to reflect on the information and construct my arguement beforehand. My point is, I can't argue in real-time

She is definitively not an extrovert. Not at all...

It took me forever to convince her into taking pics...she was not comfortable at all.
It was hard for her to totally relax, which is funny because we are so comfortable around eachother.
In most of the other pics her face looked so 'uneasy'.

hahaha, once I actually managed to take a picture of my ISTJ friend and he became unexpectedly frustrated and insisted that I erase the picture. I never understood what lies behind this sort of behavior...

ISTps are cold due to being their weakest function. So I don't imagine an ISTp getting passionate about anything.

    INTjs can get passionate though.

Now that I think about it, she might also be INTp and what you just described might be an indication of N.

    I'd say IXTp

These things are quite relative, you know, so I'd say not to exclude the possibility

-She needs to have her 'alone' time
even an extrovert need time for oneself

I still believe the ESTj would be most likely. Here are some reasons

    -She is very independent
-Seems like she has a 'secret life' and she doesn't let anyone see it.
-She comes across as very cold and is not too affectionate
    Possible interpretation:
Leisurely men and women believe in their right to enjoy themselves on their own terms in their own time. They value and protect their comfort, their free time, and their individual pursuit of happiness.

    -Very sceptical
-She does what she wants - doesn't break under pressure
always busy with projects; practical and skeptical; action oriented; professional; active involvement

-She will defend her point of view even when she is the only one in a group of 10.
He (the ESTj) defends his ideas with guts and fervor. In front of his superiors he is not shy, even becomes aggressive

-When she gets really annoyed/disappointed with someone she can just end the relationship without giving it a second thought. She is able to move on and seems not to be bothered by it.
Mixed feelings. Although they feel impelled to proceed in their own direction, when their choices put them in conflict with the people they care for, Leisurely people are often of two minds about how to proceed. They do not like to risk important relationships, yet they need to feel free.

I need more information to decide. Could you ask her to take the Jung test at similiarminds? (http://www.similarminds.com/jung.html ) Her score will tell the tale.

Yes she did... but look at those scores.

55% to 45%... exactly in the INTx range.

Case closed. She's Einstein's/Heimdallr's type, INTx.

What is it with you and this "INTx" thing?
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

Basically, she would say that Einstein quote you have in your signature as a normal course of speech. I'm saying that she could skim Einstein's General Relativity papers; in fact, it's probably not that naive to assume that she's already familiar with them!

    You are right...

I always tease her about how 'uncool' or 'geeky' she is when she talks like that. Usually, she just responds...'it all depends on what you consider to be uncool' without being offended by it.

Sometimes when she is doing something or even relaxing, she will stop all of the sudden and grab some paper and write something done. It is usually some formula and a graph of some sort...
When I ask her what is that...she just responds that she had this 'problem' in her mind for a while and she finally got it! The funny thing is that she seemed busy doing whatever she was initially doing.

A story that I heard about and it goes back to when she was still in high-school:
She was going to have a math test later on that day. She walked to the library to pick up some unrelated book when she was asked to explain some problems to a group of people. She sat down and tried her best getting her classmates to understand it....Then when it was time to go to take that test, she just didn't show up for class!!!! No one understood that action - not even her teacher - he approached her later on to ask her about it and to offer her to write that test in another slot.

Why would anyone do it when she knew her material exactly???!!

Because she already knew that her teacher would offer her the chance to retake the test. It wasn't a problem for her. The same analysis of those problems she works on applies for people, in a semi-cold way.

INTxs know their stuff though. More later.

hah. i do things like this a good deal. i'm wondering how many intjs or intps would do it. it sounds more istp to me, personally.
Right. But would you already be certain of it?
