Conflictors are trying to make you love the things you hate.
Yeah, seriously, I'm sure there are more than a few threads...Originally Posted by Diana

That's a lie. Why would an IEI, a Fi-devaluing and -skilled type, want to make an SLE love Fi?Originally Posted by machintruc

Actually, one of the only friends I socialized with outside of work was ENTp. We got along pretty well, probably because we had similar interests (at the time, weed, cigarettes, video games) and similar humor, and I think humor is the main thing that can allow conflictors to be friends, because when one of you starts use your strong functions the other can't really participate, and ime tends to just laugh and go along with what you're saying, like it's a novelty, but having similar humor can cushion this difference and allow you both to enjoy one another's company in moderate doses.
As far as things I don't like about ENTps goes, it feels like they are too quick to use their Ti to come to conclusions. My brother sees a statue of an owl in front of a building in downtown Wilmington Delaware and suddenly is convinced that the Bohemian Grove is trying to take over the world. Another thing that annoys me is how superficially they seem to view commitments (never calling you back, just not showing up at a place they said they'd meet you, that kind of thing).
But I'm sure I seem pretty stuck up to them, so whatever.
That actually sounds, to me at least, like Ego/Super-Id interaction. Could he be ILI or LIE?Originally Posted by discojoe

Nah, he's exactly like Kumar, except white. Lots ofOriginally Posted by Gilly

It's just that "not being able to participate" sounds more like weak unconscious functions, and reminds me more of my experience with matters of Si and Fe. I feel like just kinda have to shrug and say "Yep, you hit the nail on the head." I think we're usually able to perform with our Super-Ego functions well enough unless there's a lot of external stress or demand for Ego functions that gets in the way. Active usage under pressure is what really kills us in the Super-Ego, IMO.
But of course your friend very well may be ILE. Kumar is a good benchmark, at least as far as general impression/typical behaviors go.
