in my studies, i combine sociology and computer science! and in my institut it is called SOZIONIK (socionic).
Its a interdisciplinary project to explore and modelling the artificial social.
keywords: artifical intelligence, multiagent systems, hybrid systems

A search for socionic online comes up with mostly Socionics, which this site is about, and I've also noticed it pulls up a paper from germany about computer modelling society.

Now I don't _think_ they are connected, but it would seem to me as a socionist, that Socionics(in our way) would be best for modelling society with a computer - ai or such. They seem to be two different things.

There were several attempts to create a discipline called SOCIONICS.
Although they were different by contnts, the original idea was the same: SOCIAL MODELING, "socio..." + "...onics" (like in bionics).

The FIRST was A.Augustinavichiute's socionics (1970s), and is based on Jungian types. The German socionics (Sozionik) was created much later, probably in the mid 1980s, and has nothing in common with Jungian types, nor Germans have ever heard about Augustinavichiute.

Pan, I'd suggest that you visit this page:

    http://socioniko.narod.ru/de/
www.socioniko.net is no longer my site.
