    Default Alexander Pushkin (Александр Пушкин)

What type was Alexander Pushkin? I tried to find it in the Internet, but couldn't.

"The illusion which exalts us is dearer to us than ten thousand truths." ― Alexander Pushkin

"Moral maxims are surprisingly useful on occasions when we can invent little else to justify our actions."

"Accuracy and brevity are first advantages of dignity."

"Inspiration is an ability to put yourself into working condition."

"Thus people--so it seems to me--Become good friends from sheer ennui." ― Alexander Pushkin, Eugene Onegin

"It's a lucky man, a very lucky man, who is committed to what he believes, who has stifled intellectual detachment and can relax in the luxury of his emotions - like a tipsy traveller resting for the night at wayside inn." ― Alexander Pushkin, Eugene Onegin

"..depression still kept guard on him, and chased after him like a shadow - or like a faithful wife." ― Alexander Pushkin, Eugene Onegin

"Tis time, my friend, 'tis time!
    For rest the heart is aching;
Days follow days in flight, and every day is taking
Fragments of being, while together you and I
Make plans to live. Look, all is dust, and we shall die.”

    I have outlasted all desire,
    My dreams and I have grown apart;
My grief alone is left entire,
The gleanings of an empty heart.
    The storms of ruthless dispensation
Have struck my flowery garland numb-
    I live in lonely desolation
And wonder when my end will come.
Thus on a naked tree-limb, blasted
    By tardy winter's whistling chill,
A single leaf which has outlasted
Its season will be trembling still.

This is an interesting question. I don't know the answer and I do not remeber reading anything about his possible type. It is assumed that INFP - Romantic/Lyric is suited the best to be a poet. When I look at his picture I think he might be ESFJ, ENTP or may be even ENFP. I do not know types that well visually and you need to know much more info to make an assumption. I will think about it and whenever I feel anything confident I will come back to it.

Implied, thanks for that. It sounds plausible. Aren't those transcriptions funny? "To dryu Of berrimor" (Drew Barrymore) and "Goldi The hone" (Goldie Hawn) are my favourites.

I don't trust their typings. I don't believe either Julius Ceasar or Napolean were SEEs.

EDIT: I agree Napolean is more of the SLE, though...

I think a lot of their typing of non-Russians is based on a very superficial understanding of their biographies. They also typed Nero as EIE.

Yes, I can't see Caesar or Napoleon as SEE, either, and SLE is likely for Napoleon.

Caesar SEE, no way. I mean, he couldn't buy Versace jeans, so he cannot be SEE. (I am a bit drunk, so please forgive me if it's nonsensical).

My typing of him is IEE so/sx. Much of his writing is about the social mingling and personal relationship with a kind of fantastical and imaginary overlays to his poems.

He seems like that very same "sublime" passionate communication style guy that Gulenko was describing here. ExFx type for sure.

On the most widely used Russian Socionics typing database - SSS - there are currently 27 SEE votes, and 40 IEE votes. Next to no disagreement about him being Fi-creative, but some uncertainty about his base function and quadra values.

We know not enough for sure typing of people lived so much ago. Only those who made video-interviews can be typed normaly.

could be a Feeler introvert something...
    -
    Dual type (as per tcaudilllg)
    Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE
