Default Fictional Beta Characters In Movies and Literature

The entire Oren Ishii sequence from kill bill is beta. I am especially reminded of the scene where all of the yakuza meet. the unity and emphasis on the group's power is beta. Also, at the parties, everyone is required to be joyous, loud, and participate.

I can imagine a potential conflict from the scene where the group orders pepparoni pizza and the charlie brown waiter says that isn't available. If a member of the group said, "hey guys, let's be reasonable," there would be serious conflict. I've had similar experiences with Beta types in person.

Just read Dostoevsky's "Notes From Underground", the protaganist seemed like an unhealthy INFp, it made my head hurt but I couldn't stop reading and finished it in a day.

I think it was entirely unfair that they should have had to give her little posse something that wasn't even available. Also, if I was in a gang, I would despise being a henchmen. I'd rather be dead than there. The top is the only position for me.

I've added links to all the texts available online for free - you might not like reading them on a computer, but you could just read the brief extracts concerning the relevant character or see if you like the book, and then buy a physical copy.
Not much to choose from for Beta, though .

    Default Movie INFps

Can we get a list going of INFp characters in films, please.

It's the best way for me to relate to the typing.

I don't think that's the best way, not the worst way though. Types are not that consistent. I think the doctor from "The last King of Scotland" could be a movie example of an INFp, the president being his dual

She's very different to Stephane and Sofia. So I don't really know how you think these three can be the same type.

Ezra Stephane was the guy, but there was a girl with a similar name (Stephanie?) and I think she was ISFp

Yes, but not frequently. They are frequently boring, unimaginative, and formulaic. If you wish to contribute the types of Beta characters from "normal TV shows" you are more than welcome to do so.

It is formulaic, but it is formulaic in a manner that I find pleasing. But I did not present this list so that I could have my tastes in television judged, but to present an initial list of Betas in fiction.

You can add Jaime Lannister for the most balls to the wall Se ESTp ever.

Cersei is prolly Se ESTp also (they are twins afterall, itd make alot of sense)

Daenerys Targaryen - INFp of some sort (leaning towards Ni)

Khal Drogo - ESTp of some sort (leaning towards Ti)

    Uh... yah.

Oh and fuck that shit for Michael Scott being ESTp.

Like I can't believe I missed that before. He is an obvious Fe EJ type hands down. Certainly Fe ESFj.

I think Delta villains can be more interesting, just because I suppose it's hard as a Delta native to really imagine what we'd be like as villains. And then you see it in action, and it's like, "Wow, so that's how."

Gun X Sword is the main instance I can think of this. Similarly for Beta villains, I can think mainly of the Goa'uld from Stargate, but I always thought they were a bit ridiculous.

Yup. The Protoss Enclave from Starcraft is a great example IMO; Aldaris is a classic EII 1w9 so/sp gone bad.

Also, for those familiar with Twin Peaks, the secret council of town men who kill "outsiders" to keep the town peaceful/undisturbed/stuck in time are bad Deltas.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

I have a theory about this. Betas can tend to be more extreme as well as more emotionally expressive and therefore more dramatic. Thus, we get a lot of beta villains. I think Clytaemestra, Iago, Othello, Medea, and The Joker in The Dark Knight are all beta, and there are definitely some more. The big splashy villains are often betas.

I have seen the evil EII character, but the evil EII is usually a character that's super-committed to bad principles. I agree that delta villains tend to be of the Dystopia/big brother kind, but delta villainy, like delta heroics, is often on a more practical, everyday scale, I think.
Not a rule, just a trend.

IEI. Probably Fe subtype. Pretty sure I'm E4, sexual instinctual type, fairly confident that I'm a 3 wing now, so: IEI-Fe E4w3 sx/so. Considering 3w4 now, but pretty sure that 4 fits the best.

    Yes 'a ma'am that's pretty music...

I am grateful for the mystery of the soul, because without it, there could be no contemplation, except of the mysteries of divinity, which are far more dangerous to get wrong.

Now I can see Murphy/Robocop as SLI, as someone suggested

Who else but an IEI-D would work so hard to take away even one person's free will? To IEI, free will is abhorrent, and must be conquered by all necessary means.

But yeah only Betas are so ruled by emotion that they make the interesting choices. All the other types are ruled by logic to some degree.

    Good observation.
