INTJ
Geeks and nerds are Myers-Briggs Type Indicator INTP, or to a lesser extent INTJ. INTP is the classic programmer type, INTJ the classic scientist type. These are the Introverted iNtuitive Thinkers. As Introverts they are stimulated by thoughts and ideas rather than people and things. They are often quite happy spending hours absorbed in solitary activities. As iNtuitives they are more inclined towards abstract concepts and subtle connections than in concrete examples or direct experience. As Thinkers they are more adept in logic and reason than feelings or emotions. This combination makes INT's masters of math and logic and science, but rather oblivious to social graces. INTJs tend to follow social norms, at least to the extent they notice them, while INTPs tend to be nerdier and actively rebel against social rules they view as irrational and meaningless. For example long hair is surprisingly common on INTP men.
You're DOOMED! Ha! INTs are even in the definition of a nerd! LOL!
Screw society's labels!
As I said!

I also think that nerds and geeks are hot.
I am really sad..to hear that I am a Nerd
INTJ
Hey it's just a connotation of society...one of those groups you might have been labeled as in school. I don't know what associations you have with the word nerd, but it's seriously not that bad. It's just a word, you can make it what you want.
I am not usually a nerd, but I can be when I need to be quick on my feet to form a plan of action ...
I'm a nerd. And a geek. At least the quiz in that one thread told me I am.
Hey, what about us INFjs? It may not come as naturally for us, but when it comes...
I sincerely think I'm the greatest nerd on this entire board.

INFJs are not nerds (you are lucky ). INFJ s interested in human activities than intellactual pursuits (unlike INTxs)
INTJ
Not true. F types are also interested in intellectual pursuits and can thus be nerds.Originally Posted by joseph2505

I am not.
The following is pretty nerdy:
“I am the Alpha, I am the Delta, I am everything that has ever been and I am everything that will ever be”
Sycophant said, before all of you decided to cut in front of me on the posts (bastards  ): How so?
You just are, end of story. We all are, Sycophant, all of us INTps. We were just born this way. *spooky, brainwashed voice* Come, join us. We love you...

I do too Steve, want to fight?
It’s a pun Baby, you’re a smart boy I should think you would know one when you see one. It’s a bible quote!
I'm not a nerd.
Which is precisely why it's nerdy! You're too clever not to be nerdy on some degree!Originally Posted by Sycophant

It sucks to be a nerdy INTp, the most hated type.

Yeah, really, by who? *feels paranoid that everyone in the world hates him*
And I'm not officially a Puritan. I am debating on whether or not to go into a catharsis of my moral impulse. Nietzsche...he reminds me of you, Sycophant.

Actually, that's really weird, because I read that Wikipedia entry about two weeks ago. So funny because its so true (I suppose only a nerd like me would find it funny though :wink. Also interesting is the Wikipedia entry for high school subcultures - you can definately see correlations between those and psychological type.
I'm not so sure. I mean, Nietzsche had a psychosis because he destroyed himself so much. His catharsis failed, and he was left with an inhuman madman.Originally Posted by Sycophant

There is a fine line between genus and insanity. I am destroying myself perhaps, but there is a sweet irony to it is there not?Originally Posted by Cone

Is there, Sycophant, is there really? Was Nietzsche really a genius? Read his Ecce Homo if you haven't already. It makes for a good laugh.Originally Posted by Sycophant

cone what type do you think Wittgenstein was? I am thinking INTp
Super INTp. Most INTpish INTp that ever existed.
Nietzsche was also INTp.

Actually Cone is the gayest INTP that ever lived.[/quote]

I don’t know if he was a genus Cone, who am I to judge after all. In my opinion, no he was not. But he was an amusing writer. I have read Ecce Homo, being filled with such chapters as ‘Why am I so wise’ it was indeed a funny read.
“There is a fine line between genus and insanity.” I don’ t the saying as much as I like to quote it. A paradox I know.
Tin, do grow up. Please.
