I scrapbook but mainly because I like going to crops (scrapbooking get-togethers). I don't really have any other hobbies. My sister wants me to take knitting classes with her but that sounds awful.

I wish I could draw or paint or something, but I have no real talent for that kind of thing.

#1) Reading, reading, and more reading . . . never without a book. There is such a wealth of information and inspiration in books. Don't understand people who don't like to read. The only time I am bored is when I can't get my hands on a book.

Gardening, green plants but not flowers unless it's a flowering bush or something that still looks pretty green.

Interior decorating which I'm very good at. Not much call for that though these days.

Dressing men . . . I mean shopping and picking out their clothes . . . did it for all my boyfriends and husbands. They loved it. I have excellent taste.

    Writing in my journal.

Pecking around on the computer . . . writing email, looking up stuff that interests me.

Eating and exploring cultural foods . . . but nothng weird like worms or bugs and stuff. Cooking and eating healthy.

    Sleeping.

Watching all those CSI and NCIS shows, Crossing Jordan . . . anything medical. Also anything on the Discovery Channel or the National Geographic Channel and sometimes the History Channel. MASH and Seinfeld reruns.
<--- Me pouring out all my love on you!

Some days its just not worth chewing through the restraints.

pointing out weird things. well in my house there's my friend brandon who is the ultimate caretaker of objects. demands order or whatever, i'm the exact opposite. he's an excellent chef, and i was thinking about since it's known between the roommates, that there is an added pressure for him not to fuck up in the kitchen. i like pointing out things like this to other people
i dunno i like situations, like the other night a couple of my friends were drinking, and i was in the kitchen bouncing things off my hands(coins, balls, etc.) with immense accuracy and skill, and they were just going on and on about 'love' and what is true love. i just stopped in and said "whoa you guys are really getting to the bottom of this one, keep it up and you'll have it figured out." stuff like that

    i love life i think

I enjoy the arts and day dreaming.

    To elaborate:

I enjoy both fiction and non-fiction. In the realm of Fiction I enjoy authors who deal with existentialist themes (i.e., Dostoyevsky) and I like my non-fiction writers to deal with similar themes so I read a lot of anti-bourgeois texts, both from the “right” and “left” wing perspectives (i.e., Nietzsche, Marx, and those they influenced).

As far as music goes, I have a real love of esoteric metal: Burzum, Gorguts, Napalm Death, etc. Occasionally – as my pseudonym shows – I listen to just plain cheesy metal. As far as the rest of music goes, I require intelligent composition or strong emotion for a piece to be enjoyable.

Others thing I enjoy are free form games (i.e., Dungeons and Dragons) and interacting with others.

It should come as no surprise to anybody that I like science fiction and fantasy, books and TV and games. I also play computer and a special selection of Nintendo titles (Mostly Metroid and F-Zero, if you know them).

When I was a kid I was bonkers for origami. I dont know why. I still do it to charm people but when I was a kid I was just mad about it.

I like books, but not fiction. Or better said the information I can find in them.
And recently the internet, I am using it for reference

Generallly social sciences, events, history, people. Real life, past and present mostly

But I don't think it is a hobby, a hobby is supposed to be fun, relaxing
For me it's a keen gathering on information, which it can be a torture sometimes.

    now about my hobbies...
    - software design... I love reading about GUIs
    - literature: used to be SF & Fantasy, now is more like Tolstoi, Coelho, Hugo.
    - music: almost anything

But my favorite hobby is dreaming, dreaming about: learning to cook, learning Japanese, building the next GUI toolkit, resuming Aikido practice, mastering my PC muscle and all sorts of other things.

i like to play and sometimes watch all sports, soccer of course being my fav.
I play pool and go out for beer a lot...i think this is the hobby I do the most. -i'm an intermediate alkyholic.
I watch some tv but normally it's either the news, or just certain shows... CSI, Without a trace, the simpsons, family guy...and just a few others.
I do like to play video games if i'm at home bored...but it's pretty much all sports games or driving/racing games...
I like to watch movies...I don't go to the movies often but rent a lot.
the only books I read are John Grisham novels...I don't know why, but i just don't give other books a chance i guess...lol with grisham novels I always know what i'm getting.
I love to go out shooting my guns...always good for stress relief...lol
Lately I've started sailing with a friend of mine and have found that to be quite a fun hobby. some pics from my last couple times out if anyone's interested. click here for pictures...yay. http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...9-c8a03e94c384

yeah, so that's about most of my hobbies that come to mind.

I have no talent for many artistic hobbies, so I generally stay away from them, though I do like to write from time to time.

Prime Directive: I spend my time figuring out how to shape the world to my / leading function. That generally includes learning a lot of various things, as I need them, or find interest in them. But it is rare that I enjoy something that is increasingly unrelated to my 'quest'.

    Fun? Oh...

    ......

    • I used to play video games a lot.
When I play videogames now, they don't hold my attention very long, though I'm trying to go through Tales of Phantasia... but my motivation is dwindling as there are other things to do.
    • I read books... which I think are useful for the PD. Books that have no relevance to PD I have a hard time reading, and usually don't. I generally can't stand fictional books.
    • Health & Fitness.
      Martial arts, sort of.......
      Frisbee!
    • I like websites like this (which are part of PD, actually). So, online stuff that is relevant, to me.
    • Putting up with people - that's a sort of mandatory hobby, right? (but also related to PD)
    • Music. Finding new music to add to my collection, and stuff like that. Good music, that I like, is not easy to come by.
    • Photography
      I like beautiful things
And as mentioned, I am an "eye person".
    • Girls? I really have no intention of a relationship with anyone at this time, but I'm looking. Good people are hard to come by. When I am comfortable with it, I can be a flirt. But that's not very common. I'm usually doing something, and never set aside time directly for socializing/partying.
    • Sports fan, somewhat. I like American football, and follow International Football when I can. I'm into College FB. And I watch basketball sometimes, and hockey when it's good. Baseball doesn't do much for me.
    • Studying the various aspects of life
    • Lately I have really been into enjoying my food. I don't like cooking, so when other people do it for me, the meal is that much better. Mmmm!
    • ...?

There's more probably, but it took me a while to think about hobbies. I'm usually thinking about other things, just like now, so I don't really 'think about them'. I guess I have some, though.
Posts I wrote in the past contain less nuance.
If you're in this forum to learn something, be careful. Lots of misplaced toxicity.

~an extraverted consciousness is unable to believe in invisible forces.
~a certain mysterious power that may prove terribly fascinating to the extraverted man, for it touches his unconscious.

this sounds like a really bad idea, buuuut, if it's a quest, then i definitely think you should continue until you unlock the sorcerer's gate.
