It seems like the thing a feeler with little to no belief in their own self-worth would do, hence they become heavily reliant upon their friends approval and do not wish to begget upon themselves disapproval.

At least, that's how one of my INFj friends is.
"To become is just like falling asleep. You never know exactly when it happens, the transition, the magic, and you think, if you could only recall that exact moment of crossing the line then you would understand everything; you would see it all"

LOL, other things this guy would do include:

Threaten to kill himself. I would say, "Well now I DEFINITELY can't do what you want because that would be rewarding a negative behavior which I refuse to reinforce."

Tell me was never going to talk to me again. LOL

Got SUPER mad when I said he was sensitive. Couldn't understand that it was a compliment.

Accused me of saying things just to hurt him.

Called my house 20 times in 2 hours when he thought I was mad at him. Said that it was because he was worried that I would hurt myself. (wtf?!)

Demanded to know what I thought of him when I told him that I was good at reading people.

Yeah... looking back... WHY did I talk to this person?!

Maybe the hang up the phone part or even be rude or whatever... but not that "blame it on the phone [*or insert whatever irrational thing here*]" part. That's what I was talking about when I said ILI. My Dad seems to do something like that every day. It's a combination of their Ni base to make up things or "wiggle" out of reality, plus the poor Fe which makes them do it in a rude way.

SEEs & SLIs would make you aware. ILIs would blame the phone, basically.

    ahahaha.

okay sorry i like the blunt "yeah i hung up on you!" approach much better.

i mean there have to be a few like this but some more than others, right?

I do that all the time. It is my way of punishing people. I will also walk away from someone if I am having a conversation and they say something I don’t like. Very rude I am aware, but it comes so naturally.

    Yes, xNTxs don't count.

I heard a song today that reminded me of that guy. It was one of my favorite songs for a bit, and then when I was in the midst of that situation I listened to it and was like, "OMG, that's so not cool!" LOL It's by Alkaline Trio and it's called Old School Reasons. I still love the verses, but the course.... I dunno, now it just sounds like about the worst thing I could hear a guy say! Okay, the black parts are the parts that I like and the red parts creep me out.

I got these thoughts in my head
dirty as fuck and never leaving
    and then best left unsaid
    all the drinks under breath

got some shit off my chest
put on my back next to the monkey nest
    that somebody left
with me the day I was born

I got a hole in my head
the size of lake fuckin' michigan
    my pipes lined in lead
got old school reasons to die

    all my money's been spent
on a face lift via alochol
    this sinner repents
    to an empty bathroom reflection

    please take these two words
and do with them what you would like
It's a dream I had, drove me mad
just your time, just my fucking life

I got a bottle in hand
straight to the ground with all my memories
    It's best left unsaid
when they've all been left behind

    all my money's been spent
    on a DIY lobotomy
    this sinner repents
to a lake and bathroom mirror

    please take these two words
and do with them what you would like

    and that's my life
    over and over again
    just my fucking life

Behavior is motivation driven. This means he's doing it because he is somehow motivated to. You just have to take away that motivation and then there won't be a reason to do it anymore. Are you giving him attention for this type of behavior? If you are, he's not going to stop. (that's what I learned from the afforementioned ordeal) People treat you how you teach them to treat you. It happens whether we like it or not, so we might as well learn how to condition people to behave well.

Just stop talking to him or her, apparently someone who hangs up like must not like talking for very long.

lol... if she didn't want to talk to him she wouldn't... and I'm guessing that he wouldn't do that if he didn't like talking to her... he's just an idiot who ought to know better than to pull that kind of crap. He just needs to know that it's not cool, it's not cute, it's not okay, and nothing good will come of it. This is totally an attention issue.
