I know that, but an LSI would take up the title of Emperor straight away. Beta STs want that power. Why the fuck would he go back to his family when he could be the most powerful man in the known world? Simple; he's not an LSI.

I think that's a gross exaggeration... ISTjs are introverts, they really don't like to bite off more than they can chew. You're defining the meaning of power as power over other people, I find that ISTjs value power but it is primarily over themselves and their lives, independence would be a better word.

Furthermore you're ignoring some facts here... he's a Spaniard, he's of low birth, a foreigner to Rome, politically ignorant, if he wanted to be Emperor he'd be a fucking idiot he wouldn't last one day, all he had was his army, think it's the only one in the Roman Empire?

Yes some Beta STs are power-hungry, primarily the ones that have not come to terms with hurt they've experienced in the past and so use power as a means to compensate for an unfulfilled life. What's so good about such a power? About being Emperor? Knowing that everyone around you despises and envies you? Knowing that you can have any woman but only as an object so they'll never love you? Knowing that your children, if they survive, will suffer the same thing? For goodness sake haven't you read of what happened when soldiers actually did start becoming Emperors (in AD 200s)?
