They just use different questions to find the same answer.
No. For example, I don't have a type in MBTI. There isn't one that fits me, just parts of several.

So if I come up with a new system that has exactly 16 types and uses a 4-letter code will it be the same as MBTI AND socionics? Of course a person can be a different type in each observation!
Here's my new system, created on-the-fly, we'll even use the same names.
I vs. E
Introverted = completely drawn in to oneself and detached from reality to the point that one imagines things are real when they are not. Easily confused with schizophrenia.
Extroverted = unable to control one's inner impulses to the point where one blurts things out at inopportune times. Easily confused with Turrette's syndrome.
S vs. N
Sensing = Completely involved in the moment. Past and future do not exist. Lacks any kind of short-term or long-term memory.
Intuition = Switches from past to future uncontrollably. Believes self to be a sort of time-traveller never attached to any moment.
F vs. T
Feeling = Wears heart on sleeve. Cannot process information except through how it makes one feel. Prone to emotional outbursts, and singing the National Anthem.
Thinking = Cannot feel or express any kind of emotion. Unable to laugh, cry or even sneeze. Replace batteries often to avoid narcolepsy.
J vs. P
Judging = Flies into an uncontrollable panic attack if schedule changes by as much as a nanosecond.
Perceiving = Lives on a commune and smokes pot all day. Never wears clothes.
So, which one are you according to my system? It has all the same letters as the others, and clearly you can see the similarities, so you have to be the same type in this system as in the others. There's no other choice.
