You'd think most dinosaurs are extinct these days
That could be... Jackman's character strikes me as INFp, especially in the first and third segments with all that devotion going on.Quote:

All movies by Tarkovsky (ISTJ)
SUPERBAD!
ESTp/INFp duality. First time I see it on the screen! Made me happy.

OMG LOL that's adorable, maze! I wanted to see that movie since I saw the commercials. I usually never want to see comedies.
Now... see *that* statement would prompt me to rethink your enneagram type. :wink:Quote:

Cheers peeps.
Agreed. He was a ruthless motherfucker.
Definitely :DQuote:
Fight Club is one that isn't necessarily geared towards adolescents, but which seems popular among them.
Some others include: Alpha Dog, 300, Never Back Down, Fast and the Furious, Domino and Clockwork Orange (lol).
What about HERO starring Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Zhang Ziyi, and a bunch of other asian motherfuckers?

The story revolves around a group of assassins planning their revenge on a despot for the slaughter of their families and villages, but the underlying theme is about subordinating individual desires and sentiments in favor of promoting the greater, collective identity and consciousness.
Some beta movies:
Point Break --> the ex-presidents make a beta quadra
Natural Born Killers --> Mickey and Mallory ESTp INFp
Robocop --> Clarence Boddicker's gang is so beta! ...and they work for Dick Jones (gamma)
Die Hard --> the terrorists (again) make a beta quadra
Starship troopers --> a beta world!
etc etc
Wanted is beta.
Sin City. Almost everything Frank Miller ever touched is very Beta.
Also, now that I think about it, if you are going for a non-action or non-mystical Beta movie, What Women Want is one.
Fight club is the movie I ever believe in.
Does anyone know of any beta films, or films that feature beta inter-type relations? Numbers sugested The Devil Wears Prada in another thread (haven't seen it, but will...) can anyone think of any others?
I want to include clips from films to demonstrate intertype relations in the documentary about Socionics.
Hi, juju. I have thought of some examples. All of them involve violence!
Natural Born Killers: Mickey (ESTp), Mallory (INFp)
Robocop: Clarence Boddicker's gang (all of them are beta)
Point Break: The ex-presidents make a full beta quadra
Ben-Hur: B.H. (ENFj) and Messala (ISTj)
An officer and a Gentleman: Zack Mayo (ESTp), Sergeant Foley (beta ST), Paula (INFp)
Conan the Barbarian: Conan (ESTp), his friends (betas)
Jarhead: This movie had lot of beta-athmosphere, like soldiers frequently yelling "huu-aaa" etc. Annoingly much so (for me), it was more about the beta-athmosphere than about war itself.
Romper-Stomper: Good example of SeTi & NiFe dualism. Then another SeTi & NiFe dualism, however the other SeTi is played by Beta-NF. It's in overall Beta setting, or early part in Beta vs Gamma setting.
Really good suggestions, slater and Warlord :) I'm going to check these out...
Anyone know of a beta romance movie? (I remember some sex scenes from Friday the 13th part 6, but something with more character development would be nice.)
Sin City!
...well, I though it was romantic...
I thought this was pretty romantic

In all honesty, that scene creeped me out more than any other i can remember.
now when i just saw it, i thought of bullets and doves.
i will check out sin city
Not a movie and these characters are clearly sociopaths and CRAZY as all hell, but they're also probably Se-LSI and Ni-EIE and it's um, sort of a romance:

I loved the relationship between bruce willis' character and jessica alba's character.

yea that is a perfect prefect example.
I want to see The Fountain badly. I saw the preview years ago and had the distinct feeling that I would really love it.
lol
You may wish to check out these threads.
Saw it at the cinema. First film ever to actually blow me away.
Equilibrium.
There was a terrible war, and then they said if they would all be an idealized robot version of TiSe and have no feelings at all (especially not Fi inner sentiments) then there would be no more hate or strong emotions, and therefore no more war. There were traces of Fe still in a sort of "national spirit" or whatever, but no real emotion. And it wasn't really living, just people taking drugs so they could pass as robots. In the end Fe and Fi were reinstated by an overthrow of the current regime... via the powerful impact of Fe, and the acknowledging that passion and depth of emotion are vital elements of what it is to be human. This was seen as worth the risk; that to have violence and war as an indirect consequence is a price worth paying, because otherwise there isn't even a reason to exist. (ps: this isn't really "spot on"!)
Good idea for a film (albeit somewhat unoriginal*); just a rather shit and rushed ending.
Plus, was it my imagination, or was Brandt (Taye Diggs) displaying emotion throughout the whole film?
*See 1984, amongst other dystopian visions of the future preceding Equilibrium which closely resemble such a world.
I'm basically happy with Seth as an SLE, although I think he could also possibly be an EIE, given this inconsistent behaviour of which you speak. I don't know whether you're referring to the fact that he seems to be able to take the initiative and be completely open and "fuck me now, Jules" one minute, and "oh shit, where is my confidence with girls?" the next, but I definitely noticed elements of this in him.
As per Evan, I'm not so sure he is an IEI, and I'm pretty sure he's not an ILI. I think he could easily be Si ego, actually.
Have you seen Juno? In that, I think he is an SLI, IEE Juno's dual.
