ok, that’s what I thought, if I’ve got it right. Those are rules the UN made. So Russia commited a crime under the UN while being a part of it. It seems to me they should have separated or left first before doing these things. So NATO essentially is like the world police, and they just made a move against them. I don’t know how I feel about that. But it seems inevitable a nation would do something like that-scary now it’s one as big and hot headed as Russia. This could cause a mess.
@asterr, there are lots of rules in war. Just look up the Geneva Convention.
Basically, war is an extension of diplomacy and when people stop talking, they start hitting. Most modern wars are not wars of extinction, as they used to be, so the winners will have to deal with the losers when the war is over. If the two sides treat each other too badly, then there will be people who are traumatized on both sides (even more than usual) and most governments don't want to deal with the problems that these people present, so they make laws that say that you can't behave too badly during wars.
Do countries follow these laws? Some try to, especially if they aren't, as I said, trying to kill all of their opponents. However, there are incidents and accidents, and those are generally overlooked. However, if the loser were behaving very badly, the existence of these rules means that the winners can prosecute the people that they claim violated these rules.
It's like an extra incentive to return to talks.
In practice, though, the law cannot reach where enforcement will not follow, so you have a lot of guys walking around free who have not been prosecuted for their crimes.
Make of that what you will.
thanks, Adam :) lol
I just find it all pretty interesting, really. I don’t want to just mimic what I’m hearing. I’d rather understand what’s happening, and not just from one bias side. I’m not really on anyone’s side, just want to try to keep my family safe and be prepared, I guess. No one or nothing is all good or bad I guess. Shit happens; but I’d like to know exactly what I’m getting into here.
Ok. So when the USSR became Russia in 1991, Russia was USSR’s succession to their place in the UN
but I’m wondering if they had much of a choice. Wouldn’t it look bad not wanting to be part of the UN when you are trying to stand on your own two feet. Also, the legality of the transition has been called into question, so I read.
tbh, this is all very confusing. I’m refreshing about the history of Russia and the UN right now, it’s been a while.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.his...e-soviet-union
https://www.history.com/topics/cold-...f-soviet-union
Even then, I’m sure there are a ton of things going on behind the scenes.
The UN represents another mean of resolving conflict that doesn’t involve force, every nation is part of it, especially if they want to be recognized as sovereign. Even North Korea is included and they get to speak their piece. Leaving the UN will make Russia free for all. Sure they can do what they want but so does the rest of the world. That is basically why the world is not collectively bombing them right now. You could say countries like Russia rely on the UN loophole to do as they please and expect no retaliation. Of course the more you cross that bridge and make use of peoples’ good will the more likely you will change their hearts, see for example several European countries changing their policies recently to support Ukraine militarily, when they have been opposed to it for decades. Germany is planning to boost their annual military spending substantially as well.
This is not a case of right or wrong, it’s a step back for the world towards barbaric periods where diplomacy was not an option. And Russia is the sole reason for that. No one else has used force offensively in this conflict. But this could change any time. Sure no one wants a Third World War but it doesn’t mean countries will avoid it forever to please Russia.
An acquaintance / colleague of mine is from Russia and living in Ukraine, in Kharkiv. He and others from his work / community have gone silent over the last week, and yesterday someone outside of Ukraine finally heard back from him. He said he is focusing on survival. When asked how or if we could help, he said the "best help is to spread the understanding that Russia is fighting civilians."
He is not an elite, not a news person, not anyone rich or influential other than what he has contributed to the tech community.
While that is my main direct personal connection to what is going on, I am friends with people who have friends and family in Ukraine. They are sharing of the fear and hardship that those living there are experiencing (personal accounts), and I have seen no indication that any of them want any of this "liberating." There is a strong wish for peace, but the opinion I've gathered is that this is far from the way to achieve it. There is fear and an increasing amount of loathing directed toward Russia (though it seems there already is a good amount stemming from what has been happening from 2014 onward).
I, like many here, am suspicious of any blanket "us good / them bad" narratives; it's too convenient. And standard news sources tend to exaggeration and hyperbole even in mundane matters. So I've been looking for more (hopefully) reliable "man on the ground" sources. Also, anyone outside who isn't too "rah-rah" one way or the other.
CNN viewership is down 90% in 2021 alone, and God says they will soon be lights out forever. Some Fox News heads will soon be exposed and tried as traitors. MSNBC and NBC be bankrupt soon and their cooperating lying reporters will never report anything again.
Why believe what the liars are saying? Why not consider there is something ELSE to it? The major networks are publishing pictures from OTHER wars saying it is the Ukraine! The photo of the first news journalist killed in this Ukraine war is the photo of a reporter killed in the Afganistqan war!
That helps me see why God said this week, after assuring us that the people of Ukraine would be okay, that when our troops get there, it will "look like" a war zone. I knew God had a reason for using the words, "look like".
God said this war is not what we are being told it is. In a prophetic word last week He basically gave Putin the go-ahead -- because there IS something ELSE going on there - and I have heard in plenty of other places that Ukraine is/has been used as a world center for human trafficking -- but at the same time God warned that Putin knows he can only go so far, and that Putin knows how far that is. Another prophet said today that Putin will go too far - and that God will send plagues - not to Russia, but to Putin. ONLY Putin.
God has said VERY clearly that He will protect the Ukranian people. He also said this will NOT turn into WWIII, even though that is what they want. The warmongers WILL lose.
God has wonderful plans for Ukraine. He will pour His Glory out on Ukraine and they will have a GREAT revival sweep across their land. They will have joy, peace and prosperity! Ukraine will be great, propsperous, free nation until the end of time!

[Comedian JP]: Ukraine and Russia: What the Media Wants You To Think!
https://rumble.com/vw8q9n-ukraine-an...-to-think.html
Before the Iraq war, general Shinseki estimated that the US would need 1 soldier for every 50 civilians to maintain the occupation. It was based on his experience as a commander in Bosnia. He had been ignored by Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz but has since been vindicated (https://www.cnn.com/2013/03/20/opini...raq/index.html). The article says that the occupation needed 300,000 soldiers (a lot more than were sent), but I think that the actual number should be closer to 500,000 (Iraq's population was around 25 million in 2003).
The population of Ukraine is even bigger, at around 44 million, which means that Russia would need around 880,000 troops to maintain the peace. The size of Russia's deployment to Ukraine is 150 - 200,000 troops (according to Al Jazeera). To match Shinseki's ratio, it would need to deploy nearly its entire army of 900,000 personnel or call in its reserves.
200,000 troops covers 10 million people. Even if Ukraine's official population figures may be overstated (lots of young people leave in search of work, for one thing), I don't get the impression that it's as small as 10 million.
Russian - Ukrainian proximity and historical ties may change that ratio, though. Who knows.
At this point, history is working against the Russians here. Their soldiers feel like they're putting down their brothers and the Ukrainians are galvanized because of the amount of shit they've had to deal with for the last 8 years. An ineffective occupying force and a civilian population ready to spend the rest of their days throwing molotovs more or less makes occupation impossible.

Well, without air support for the Ukrainians this war is essentially already decided. The Ukranian military could likely turn this around with air support and contested air superiority. However, as of right now Russia is well on its way to achieving full-spectrum air superiority. Once you have that it's basically only a matter of time. Bonus: Ukraine is mostly flat farmland. It's a breadbasket. Not many Jungles, dense forests, or caverns to hide out in like in Vietnam or Afghanistan. Thus, air superiority is an even bigger advantage than it usually is as there ain't much in the way of concealment or cover.
The only way to realistically change that is for the NATO countries to sortie their air forces and send them into Ukraine. This would be a significant escalation as that would mean a de facto declaration of war against Russia by any country in the area that sent in their jets and where one NATO country goes in this situation so too go the rest. The big problem with all that is both sides have access to "the button" if ya catch my drift. If open war gets declared between Russia and NATO someone's gonna push that button the instant they start to lose...
If Russia is still a united country, Russia could always benefit from the collision between the West and China. Similarly, China could also benefit from the collision between the West and Russia. Since Russia is much weaker in economics currently, the West has to try to collapse Russia for the second time in order to facilitate full competition with China.
China is the biggest trading partner of Ukraine. The economy of the western part of Ukraine is not complementary to Russia but it's very complementary to China. So Russia is able to integrate the economy of the western Ukraine with the help of China. However, the Russia government is always trying to seek cooperation with the EU. This is why Ukraine is keeping its westward shift.Quote:
Ukraine's westward shift is now more-or-less politically irreversible.
Posted by an acquaintance of mine, who lived in Kharkiv. The translation may be a bit wonky. I'm posting this on here because hopefully, this girl will help me get a point across that many of the disconnected westshits living an ocean or a continent away saying "just let Ukraine fall" do not seem to comprehend:
'Well, dear "brothers"? How do you sleep? Today I slept on the floor in the corridor, because it is the safest place in the apartment, in case of a shell hit. And all last night, because of the threat of an air raid, my friends, at whose house I am staying for the fifth day, and I were running from home to the bomb shelter with our bags. Thanks to our aviation, which repelled the strike. My Kharkiv, where I was born and grew up, is in its fifth day of fever from your "Grads. I know the city well, I will not be fooled by tales that these are our guys. People in Kharkiv have learned to tell by the sound who's firing, you can't fool us.
'Kiev, Mariupol, and Chernivtsi also suffer from shelling. I was in all these beautiful cities in Ukraine, in which we put our soul, forces and money, because we love our country and want to live well. Now you have come to destroy it. I say "you" because in any civilized country the people are the guarantor of government actions. When we disagreed with the authorities, we went to the Maidan in 2014, sparing no life. More than a hundred Ukrainians gave their lives for the freedom of our country. Your media is slinging mud and calling them Bandera [nazis]. Why? So that you don't take their example. And you don't. You keep quiet. Thank you to those who are not silent, but for now, unfortunately, this is not enough.
Other cities are suffering as well. Civilians are dying. Your soldiers are shooting at residential houses. We are not like you, we will not watch our children being killed, we resist and will resist until our last breath.
I wonder who you came to save? Who are you protecting us from? You are shelling Kharkiv, Chuguev, Izyum. There are many Russian-speaking Ukrainians in these cities. I myself grew up in Kharkov, in a Russian-speaking family, at school I learned both Ukrainian and Russian, I speak both languages well. All my life I spoke Russian, and I was not oppressed in any city of Ukraine, neither in Kiev, nor in Chernovtsy. At school we studied the Russian classics. I had a lot of friends from Russia. Even after 8 years of war in Donbas I tried to separate people and politics. But on 24.02.2022 everything came to an end.
With your silent consent, Russian soldiers came to destroy my home. Instead of getting ready for the premiere of the play, which was supposed to take place on February 25, I spent the whole day on the phone with my parents. My mother came under fire. Your shelling. By your rockets. From your grads. A shell hit a house on the next street. A child died in Chuguev.
Who of us is a Nazi? Who kills Ukrainians for being Ukrainians? Who destroys infrastructure and museums?
You know nothing about us but lies. We chose our own government. Even the corrupt rats from the pro-Russian opposition who ran away and abandoned their few voters. I voted for Zelensky. Most of the young people voted for him. There is room for freedom of choice in our country. You don't understand that.
I will never forgive you for that. We will never forgive you that. We don't want anything more from you. Those who come to our land with war will know death. Come out to rally for yourselves and for your soldiers who are dying here as cannon fodder.
Russian warship, go fuck yourself!'
So sad. People are suffering, so let's abandon any form of critical thinking, that hurts poor little children.
Anything aside "Ukraine's goverment is Nazi" it's one of the stupidest propaganda campaigns they could have come up with. This war is about nukes and oil reserve currencies not about russia liberating people from fascism.
Continuation of the previous post, written by the same acquaintance. This was posted in a conversation with war apologists.
'But if this situation is not resolved, we will all be equally fucked. Ukraine will stand to the last man. The people are not fighting for power, not for the EU, but for freedom from the regime. Grads scare us, kill us, but the whole country has one goal, we don't have people who would like to live in Russia, those who wanted to live there are already there. If you are afraid of a war, a war has already begun. I'm not going to agitate you to go to rallies, or to drag Navalny out of jail. It's your choice and you have to live with it. But if your grandfather fucking nukes the world, there will be nothing left of the world, and no one wants that. No one wants Russian peace in Ukraine, we just want to choose our own government and live freely. The question of NATO in Ukraine has always been a contentious one, and we needed NATO just to avoid what is happening now, because we don't have nuclear weapons and it's probably impossible to contain such an aggressive neighbor otherwise. My life is ruined. I have no contact with my relatives, I no longer have a hometown, I am left in ruins. I can't take my parents away, because they don't want to leave home and go away. And they will reach my town, too. We'll end up killing each other. But we don't need yours. I've been vacationing in Mariupol for three years in a row, I have two very close friends from there. My family friend is from there. My acting master is from Gorlovka, and I also have friends from Selidovo. We have a lot of refugees from Donetsk and Luhansk in our city, I won't list all the acquaintances who lived through it and now are living through it again. We don't want to live in Russia, we chose our own president, and we want to deal with it ourselves. Sooner or later we'll just kill each other, it'll get us nowhere, we're fighting for our homes and our families, for our freedom and our right to choose, and we're not giving up ours. We will not tolerate the mockery of our culture and language. This is our country. Even if you kill Zelensky, nothing will change, we are not fighting for his interests and he represents ours. The country is not houses and institutions, the country is people. And there is nothing scarier than people who have nothing to lose.'
Ideally, NATO would straight up occupy the non-occupied parts of Ukraine (they're already helping Ukraine by shipping weapons). But, yeah, nuclear weapons change everything, even if it is probably a bluff by Mr. Putin.
Ukraine should never have given up its nuclear weapons. No one is going to give up their nuclear weapons now. Even Japan is looking at getting some.
Get a grip and listen less to insane religious ramblings, the invasion is real and Trump’s buddy Putin is just as much a scumbag.Quote:

The competition will be fierce but unless a madman takes charge in either US or China, it will be a kind of aggressive competition. China will likely due to the current events take a more patient approach, they don't need to do anything now when in 20-30 years, their technology, economics and all factors will be better than the west. The future projects for China do not make it aggressive as it sees many gains without the need for desperation. Russia's move was a desperate maneuver of a insecure power, not that of a strong growing economy.
The west however is insecure and it's possible something will be acted on in the west by someone who follows Trump, but such an act will get little support and even less success.
Numbers change if you partition it.
'Denazification' of Ukraine is a war of annihilation of a country. They're not even hiding it anymore. And I can't believe it's the best thing they could come up with since 2014. Tells you a lot about their citizen's sense of situational awareness and general sense of 'fairness'.
I don't think that we can be sure of his game plan at this point, but ~9.5 million people is indeed the estimated population in Donestk + Kharkiv + Luhansk (as of 2012, according to Wikipedia). If that's all he wants, then one may suppose that Shinseki would approve of those troop numbers.
Ukraine said it's killed 9k russians and that it has 100k defense force, so manpower-wise this equation is going to be much uglier for Russia. As long as Ukrainians get arms, it will take far more people to hold more than the east and south of Ukraine. If Putin doesn't take Kyiv, I think the Russians will hold the east and the south. I do think the Ukrainians will fight to the end in Odessa and not retreat from it like Kherson. From some of the image we saw of the plans, which might not be real, there are plans to attack Moldova too. If this is true, Russia will want a strip of southern ukraine to landlock ukraine and provide a bridge into moldova. And Georgia is likely to eventually get attacked as well.

There was this fascinating article I was reading yesterday about autism, schizophrenia, and intelligence. Basically, autism is associated with genes also associated with high intelligence, and schizophrenia associated with genes also associated with low intelligence. Things like accounting for biases and being "tuned in" to reality are also more associated with autism/autistic like thinking, while schizophrenia is defined by it's blatant disregard for reality, along with general dullness when it comes to sensing the outside world.
That being said, Eliza I want to ask you in the most genuine and honest way I can.
Please get tested for schizophrenia. We'd love to know the results
@Baqer, you quoted me: "CNN viewership is down 90% in 2021 alone, and God says they will soon be lights out forever...." "
So, did research that? Or are you afraid to hear anything bad about those you trust in? I imagine you trust Google, so, Google it.
You will soon see an explosion of exposures of truth about those you trust. Liars and traitors in numbers never imagined.
God spoke this through prophets in September - when the was nothinng to give evidence that something so big and established as CNN could be lights out in a short order. Now, hearing in January 2022 that that this lying, false network is down 90% in 2021 alone, it is not so surprising to imagine they will soon be lights out, forever. But God said so again, in a prophecy to Julie Green recently. Prophets have said that they ahve observed tghat when God says somethign will happen for a second time, that means it will happen very son. Julie Green's ministry lauches a new website Sunday, where all these videos will be archived and organaized, labelde and manuscriped, with which ones were said when, and when/how the fulfilled ones were fulfilled. So after that is up it will be easier for you to find it there.
Or, you can just wait for it to happen, because it will. When CNN goes lights-out, watch, because then the liars at MSNBC and NBS will be nexty to fall. They will go bankrut. Soon many other well known news reporters will fall, resign, and/or be exposed for what they have done. Including heads of FOX New, soon. Everywhere there are those who have knowingly and for bribery and wealth cooperated with perpetuating lies to the American people, but some have cooperated innocently. God knows. [For some reason, CNN is always prophesized with the words, "Lights out, forever".]
I am not saying these things expecting you to believe them, but because I know they will be happening soon, and when they happen, you can know that God is doing what He said: making our nation and our world greater and better than ever. I especially want to share it because the evil deep state is losign it's power aned they know they are fallign soon so they are goign to make thigns as difficult as they can for us, but God says everythign they try to do against us, including market falls, will coem to nothing. God is rectifying, and that is what we will see. He has named many names recently, including those who will die. [for each He says, I gave you time to repent, and you refused]. At least two traitors will fall on live TV, never to get up again, on live TV. Chuck Shummer is one. God says we have not known in how many ways we have been enslaved and stolen from, but we will find out this year, and our prosperity will be returned to us. Your future is going to be fantastic!
Eliza Thomason is what happens when an IEI gets so deep into Ni that pretty much any real world data gets ignored and prophecies are believed to be true. these are the kinds of religious zealots that think the world will end at a specific date or that a "vision" of god told them to do something.
Putin is not saving Ukraine. My sources of information are mostly Reuters, The Hill, Channel News Asia, MyNorthwest, and NHK. If you don't trust those, then fair enough. I also think the MSM is lame and overly sanitized so I have been following uncensored, live, on the ground documentation by the Instagram channels donbas.frontliner, rawwar.exe (invite only), ukraineleaks, and herbheyati. I also follow rawwar.exe's Telegram channel, War.exe. I've seen plenty of the actual death and fighting. If you don't believe Putin is causing untold suffering and don't trust the MSM then go check out those channels. You'll see plenty of people crying over swollen corpses. If you still believe that all that hell is justified, then fine, but you can't go on believing Putin isn't directly causing mass suffering
Ironically, nukes seem to be one of the best guarantors of peace. As long as no one is dumb/crazy enough to use them they seem to be a net positive. They even the playing field enough for an otherwise weak country to seriously threaten potential bullies such that they can negotiate as equals
I don't know what is happening,. I only know that God says what is hapenign there is not what we think it is and THE TRUTH WILL COME OUT. Something other than what we are beign told is being accomplished there. God says He will protect teh Ukranian people. I know the MSM has posted fake pictures of war horrors. I know that God has said He does not want Putin to overstep bounds He has made for Putin, and that Troy Black got prophecy that Putin will go (somewhat?) too far and in that case God will send PLAGUES to Putin. Not to Russia, just to Putin.
I don't know who to trust in the Media, but I think we will soon mroe know who to trust.
The MSM posts basically none of the pictures people actually need to see. I haven't noticed any fakes yet - just cropped, cut, and cherry-picked to avoid the truly grisly details. In the Instagram and Telegram channels I listed you'll see the full version of a lot of those as well as tons that the MSM is unwilling to show. They don't want to upset the sensibilities of western softies I suppose. If you don't know what's happening in the world then you should try to figure it out instead of just taking the word of self-proclaimed prophets profiting off of people's unknowing
I respect that you have put more effort into finding news stories than I have, and I especially respect that you have sought to find good sources, which are so hard to find. I also respect that you don't see following the'se prophets to be of importance, or good use, but I do. Especially in this case, since God says it will not amount to the WWIII they want it to become. I am trusting God for protecting the Ukranian people, praying for them, and reminding God of His promise in my prayer. I also take note that God said when our troops get there, it will "look like" a war zone. I think those words "look like"have a reason, which will will find out about. It is interesting that fake photos have allegedly b een used, so early in the game! That supports what is implied in the prophecy: that things will be made to look like what they are not.
I also expect that most people will not see much use for these words of the prophets I am sharing, but at least it should be an intersting curiosity, one that hails good news in a time of nothing but dreary news. But interest will increase when the astonishing predicted things start happening.
More from members of my tech community who are currently in Ukraine:
Source: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update...0069048786944/ They were originally planning on having a conference in June. Normal, everyday people who don't seem to be relishing their "rescue."
Reports are that about a million people have fled the fighting. Is there any word on how many of those have gone toward Russia? So far most of what I've been hearing is people going to other West-aligned or NATO countries. If the Ukrainian people are scared of or held captive by the West, why are they running toward them?
So far, the only evidence I've seen that that checks out and even comes close to Ukrainians "using civilians as shields" is that they have been forcing males of fighting age (18-60ish) to stay and giving them guns. That kinda sucks.

This is going to really suck for the Russian people, too. :( I realize that historically Russian revolutions have been... not so pleasant... but I really hope they can figure out a way to get leaders who will actually do good things for them and help them build up a prosperous and peaceful country. Aside from the occasional bigoted person, I don't know anyone who actually wants to see Russia suffer or be torn apart or defeated.
Is an attacking a nuclear power plant considered a war crime?
A nuclear power plant is on fire at Zaporizhzhia.

Likewise, I respect your civility. Speaking with you isn't unpleasant even if I take issue with a lot of your posts.
Additionally, I hope you understand that my issue is not with your faith in God or anything like that. I'm perfectly comfortable with religious diversity, and if your faith is important to you then far be it from me to attempt to deny you that. My problem is instead with your faith in "prophets" (fallible human beings) who fail time and again to be right about much of substance while still garnering tons of attention and in a few cases money too. This prophesying business is tangibly beneficial to them, even those who don't directly earn money from it gain attention (an arguably even more valuable resource these days), and I feel that generates a significant conflict of interest. If they were at least more consistently right about their prophecies I could forgive the conflict of interest, but given that, from what I can tell, they don't seem to know more than anyone else, I find it difficult to view them as anything more than charlatans preying on religious folk.
I probably haven't convinced you of anything with that, but I've stated my case at least. I would just like you to understand that if I seem at all antagonistic, it is rooted in my not wanting you or others who share your faith to be fooled, not in any dislike for you as a person
Gruesome video of recent shelling. Among the devastatingly injured, there is one that looks like an old woman or man hunched, looking at the ground as if in shock, with her/his feet missing:

Ukrainians and Russians are one people says Putin, then invader forces shell a nuclear plant. Fraternal feelings are going to soar in the 'UkrUSSR' after this, I'm sure:
https://i0.wp.com/i.dailymail.co.uk/...6352992406.jpg
The plant has been secured and there appears to be no danger of its exploding or leaking dangerous levels of radiation for now.
https://www.channelnewsasia.com/worl...d-fire-2537666
That could of course change very suddenly, but I imagine Putin doesn't want to obliterate/irradiate all that juicy land he hopes to acquire. My guess is that this was a stunt to try and scare Ukraine into submission. Thankfully it failed
"How is the war in Ukraine going? Today they confirmed the death of Russian General Major Suhovetsky. He's unsurprisingly a paratrooper. So let's discuss the role of paratroopers in Russian military doctrine. That'll shed a light on the course of this war and why Russia lost it."

IEEs don't typically subscribe to prophecies and religions, tending to make fun of doomsayers and prophetic conspiracy theorists. They also don't try to eloquently convince masses of people, more likely using blunt language (Te > Fe) to stand behind their personal (as opposed to group identified) convictions.
She doesn't know. And most of them are full of bullshit. The rule should be "unless it's linked to the Bible and proven to be linked to the text itself, and doesn't contradict it then it shouldn't be accounted for". If that rule isn't defined, and the Bible verses aren't given in context, then it shouldn't stand as an actual prophecy that should be taken seriously. Even Prophecy has fallen short of the given standards in the Bible.
It even says in the Bible to test these spirits and not believe every one of them. Test them against the Word of God:

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.1 John 4:1
Quote:
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Matthew 5:17
The only ones that aren't fulfilled are from the New Testament, and more specifically the Gospels and Revelation. They are all in the Bible, and not from some random man/woman who has had a dream, or visited Heaven. It even says in the end of Revelation that there will be consequences if someone messes with these prophecies/words in the Bible:Quote:
Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Matthew 1:22-23
I know that you probably didn't expect this reply, but I wanted to try and clear a few things up on the logic behind so called Biblical Prophecy. And to say that no, not everything (or pretty much anything) that can be said about these 'prophets' is inherently true, and that they probably shouldn't be taken seriously. I know that Eliza would never step back and give you an answer like that, or take time to explain things like this. She is a deluded person (or a troll that's very good at playing this game) and probably doesn't take the Bible as seriously as you think she does.Quote:
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. (Revelation 22:18-19)
What if NATO is corrupt Shadow Government and Putin is kinda crazy. What then? What thennn??? Why does one side have to be bad and one good. How about if they are both corrupt. Just saying. Politicians are about as endearing as used car salesman, who also happen to be closet sociopaths. Doesn’t really matter where they hail from.
NATO has a great excuse to start a fight with Russia right now. A golden opportunity destroy Russia militarily. Why isn’t NATO seizing this opportunity?
Maybe NATO isn’t the aggressor. After all, NATO is a voluntary defensive alliance. Countries join NATO because they want to. Putin, on the other hand, is trying to violently force Ukraine into his sphere of influence.
There are two sides to every story, but truth does not always lie directly in the middle.
The threat of mutually assured destruction makes war interesting. I suspect that the likelihood of mutiny goes up when WMDs are on the table and you have a situation like what's unfolding in Ukraine. And by that I mean that the party with the WMDs is more likely to revolt.
NATO is a defensive alliance. The only situation in which it poses a threat to Russia is if Russia invades a country in NATO. Sure, there are NATO countries/forces which have gone and done stuff(Like after 9/11 and in Libya), but at the end of the day these things were either 1. Didn't need NATO to happen or 2. Were an act of defense. Maybe you can make the argument that NATO would construct false flags to invade other countries, but at the end of the day the last country they're going to do that too is Russia, a nuclear power. Anyone saying that Russia is being threatened by NATO expansion is a Russian shill, because the only thing that NATO stops is Russian expansion.
I've thought about this question a lot since last night, and I'm not so sure anymore that nukes would guarantee peace. If a country (or government) was facing an existential crisis (as Ukraine's currently seems to be), then, yes, perhaps. That country would be more willing to deploy nukes, and nukes would scare away that particular invader.
But what happens in the case of a limited military action that triggered NATO's Article 5 — if, say, Russia tried liberating Estonia's Russian population? Would we really be going to DEFCON 1, or would the Internet be debating the worth of destroying civilization for the sake of 300,000 people (which, incidentally, would also destroy Estonia)? Even if Russia straight-up conquered Estonia (with a small population of 1.3 million), my hunch is that we'd still be debating the merits of launching nuclear weapons.
So far, the West has been supplying Ukraine with weapons in open defiance of Russia. No nuclear war has resulted.
It's not clear that conventional warfare is going away because of the threat of nuclear war, which means that Putin in fact has a case, and that NATO's geographical encroachment really could pose a credible threat to Russia's defense imperatives (although, after this week's events, I can see why people might want to ignore or straight-up violate them, or to regard them as being offensive rather than defensive in scope).
There is even the possibility that we'll develop the means to neutralize nuclear weapons someday. Point defense systems against missiles are still ineffective. Israel has Iron Dome, but there are reasons to be skeptical about that system — An MIT professor evaluated Iron Dome and believes that it is over-hyped (with an effectiveness of 5% or below against Hamas rockets in 2014). But that could all change one day, which is something that Russian strategists do have to take into account.
I check against what I know of the Lord and of scripture. I hacve been followign for a year now, with plentyof skepticism at firs because I am Catholic now, used to be non-denom Chrisitian, whicvh most of these are. But who am I to know whom God will chose to use? We all have errors in our theology; we are all imperfect. I see errors in theology, but I don't see errors in these messages. God gives discernemnt. Elijhah Streasms has a lot of discernment in the prophets they choose to use. The sheep knows their Shepherds v oice. So... that is a random answer to how I know, other than, "I just know" which tells nothing. But the reason for that is discernment which is a gift of God, that many people have, and I think like wisdom anyone can have, if they ask for it.
I think the Lord confirms the truth in the hearts of the people. We all know God, inside, because we come from Him and are made in His image so we recognize Him.
I hope that is a somewhat useful answer!
We asre both pretty civil! As revealed in our recent temperment tests, we are both Sanguine/Plegmatics, marked by civility. : )
I definitely don't take offense. You have a right to your opinion! My opinion on the topic of prophecy has evolved over the months I have been immersed in it. The times we are in are epic and Biblical! God is doing something HUGE in our world. He says that in this time, everything that can be shaken will be shaken. He is shaking out the evil, and that looks frightening, but He assuresus everything will be okay, and to be at peace. He is sending prophecies of specific events, and many huge natural signs that we will see - earthquakes, volcanos, the sea churning - so we can know that He is now acting in the supernatural. Like the landscape is mimicing what is happening in the supernatural as evil is rooted out and exposed (the exposure part we will all see). God says we are enslaved in ways we never realized we were enslaved, and we will be freed, and we will rejoice greatly at what He has accomplished for us!
Prophets are people, and people are fallible, but it is one thing to be a fallible person and it is completely another to have nefarious motives like attention or income. NONE of the prophets I listen to are like that. You won't find any of those on Elijah Streams.
I want to make an addendum to my Putin comments.
As I stated in this thread, from God's word to prophet Julie Green, I know that God gave Putin some sort of go-ahead, but with warning he is to only go so far. Only one or two days later I heard a word from Troy Black that Putin did, or will, go too far, and because of that God will send plagues to Putin (not Russia, just Putin). That will certainly put a stop to that!
Last night I listened to Amanda Grace's latest and she had much to say about Ukraine and Russia, and like you, she has followed it closer than I. She reminded us that there is a lot of intel out including much that is put there to mislead us. And she talked of how in the Bible we see God using rulers and kings to accomplish His will, like using Cyrus to free the Isrealites from Babylon, which confirms that yes, God might use a ruler like Putin for a particular mission (like saving Ukraine from being being ussed by the evil world elite as a center for world human trafficking, if that is the mission - it is my guess, from intel I have heard, which could be inaccurrate). God uses their position, not their saintliness, to accomplish His will. It makes sense that God worded the prophecies I heard in the way He worded them, then.
Thank you for takign the time to state your case! I see your good will and did not take offense.
_
P.S. In that Amanda Grace video, she talked of the prophecy that many of us are very familiar with: that this month of March Biden will open his mouth on national TV and give secrets away. While many are saying Biden's slip about the Iranians was just another example of his senility, Amanda thinks this is one of those slips of what is actually happenign behind the scenes: the4 Iranians are involv ed in this. Kamala's reaction as he made this slip I watch this morning on a Hannity clip, and Kamalas face most definitely reads as a serious shock that Biden jsut spilt a big secret - her face is NOT "opps, there he is being stupidly senile again"
So I wil share this url of that video now: https://rumble.com/vwdwrj-amanda-gra...the-world.html
If you are interested in much better intel and informed thought about Russia and Ukraine than I could ever give, insights you are unlikely to hear of elsewhere, you may be interested in this. (But I am NOT offended if you dont' feel moved to spend time listening; we all have busy schedules and differing priorities). If you are interested, start at 9min., 45 sec., unless you are interested in all the news about her cute rescue animals! She begins telling about past prophecies given a year ago predicting this that would happen in Ukrain, and why.
A threat is something that holds risk for someone involved.
The US, as a nuclear power, has always held risk for Russia. Therefore, it is a threat to Russia. The US belongs to NATO. Therefore, at least one portion of NATO threatens Russia. Since NATO is a defensive alliance, Russia has to be careful about who it invades - or else it risks invoking the wrath of the US and allied countries. The only reason it's going undeterred right now is because Ukraine is not part of the NATO alliance.
Someone on the internet suggested that Estonia is the safest it's been in decades right now - the Russian army is occupied many miles away and Estonia is too close to St Petersburg to nuke.
"Pakistan, Russia, the United Kingdom, the United States,[20] and France[21] say that they will use nuclear weapons against either nuclear or non-nuclear states only in the case of invasion or other attack against their territory or against one of their allies. Historically, NATO military strategy, taking into account the numerical superiority of Warsaw Pact conventional forces, assumed that tactical nuclear weapons would have to be used to defeat a Soviet invasion.[22][23]
At the 16th NATO summit in April 1999, Germany proposed that NATO adopt a no-first-use policy, but the proposal was rejected.[24] "
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_first_use#cite_note-22
So, as things stand, unless Putin goes crazy, the Russians will "only" use nukes if they or their allies are invaded or if they are nuked first. But of course Putin is unreliable and he seems to consider Ukraine as Russia's territory. I had thought he'd be unlikely to use nukes on Ukrainian soil because who'd poison what they see as their land. But I fear Putin could do so if he is losing.
They're more optimistic (or perhaps more knowledgeable) than I am.
Interesting thread (replies):
@Baqer, One fascinating psychology article is not enough. You need to read at least three, and at least one pop psychology book before considering yourself a credible armchair psychologist.
NWO admits they can't survive the loss of Ukraine.

Still waiting on the Illuminati to assassinate Putin.
I hope they do something showy and sacrifice him in bohemian grove wearing owl suits. maybe they will eat his heart or something. Hillary will be there. Front of the table. She’ll probably want to eat his balls or some shit. :p it’s time to come out of the closet and let their freak flag fly
Perhaps whatever prophecies you've been getting into coincides with one heard from Father Chad Ripperger. Well, not so much a prophecy but rather a recent lamentation of Lucifer. He was exorcising a demon that used a name for Satan himself (meaning he was literally possessed by the devil) and the man who was possessed was absolutely bawling his eyes out like a little bitch. When asked why it said "He's going to take my power away soon!"
If you know anything about how demons work, well, they absolutely hate to say the names of holy saints, Our Lady, and the Lord himself. They can be forced to do so, but you really gotta force it (or rather, Jesus must compel them to do so) The "He" in this case would be God the Father. As Satan is the prince of this world the removal of his power would likely coincide with the exposure of the Illuminati. I also like Anonymous Conservative's name for them, Cabal Inc. (or Cabal for short). If all their surveillance networks get exposed it's game over for them.
Would explain why they're putting the pedal to the metal in many regards. If they're going to lose power soon they may as well get as many souls as they can damned to hell before the timer runs out and everything starts going wrong for them.
Putin and the Ruskies ain't dumb enough to bomb a nuke plant on purpose. Occupy and shut it down most definitely but destroying it with bombs and shells would irradiate everyone for miles and that's not good for anyone. Nobody wants Chernobyl 2.0.
However, it would make an ideal false flag/be a major propaganda win for the Ukranian side of things. Such an "atrocity" could convince outside powers to institute that "No Fly Zone" they're desperate to get instated. Always ask "Cui Bono" when it comes to shit like this. If one side doesn't really benefit in the PR or Military space at all but the other does in spades if a given story is true? Yeah, tactical fuckery is likely afoot.
Remember, this is as much a propaganda war as it is a military campaign. Iron clad proof of the dastardly deeds (for both sides) or it didn't happen. At least, not like they say it did.
Imagine if they try and fail. The old saying goes: "When you strike at a king you must kill him." Would be interesting to see where that leads.
Hell, even if it succeeds it won't be good as that sets precedent. If it did, well, now it's apparently A-OK to assassinate world leaders or even political rivals for reasons again. The Middle Ages and the whole WWI incident are why nobody with an ounce of foresight seriously wants those days to return in the first world. No easy way out of all this...
When Russia intervened during the Syrian civil war, ISIS fighters tweeted a video trash-talking Russia in each of their native languages. They all took turns saying "We will make Syria a graveyard for the Russians". Finally, they got to the Russian fighter, and he also said it (in Russian). Is there anything more masochistic than the Russian mind???
Yeah, it's been on my mind a lot too. Just to be clear, I don't mean to be an advocate for weapons of mass destruction, but I can't help but wonder if Russia would've been willing to invade had Ukraine been in possession of a known nuclear arsenal. With regards to Article 5, I definitely don't think we would be willing to launch nukes, but my point was less about NATO being willing to defend an attacked member state with nuclear weapons, and more about the attacked state itself. NATO is almost certainly not going to feel threatened enough by a country like Estonia getting attacked and would be very unlikely to press the big red button, but Estonia itself...? Especially if they felt assured of their destruction anyways, I have a feeling they would be considering it very seriously. This is where I think there may be an argument to be made about nuclear weapons scaring off bigger bullies. I'm conflicted on the issue, and my opinion is malleable. It's just interesting to think about.
Not that this really needs to be said, but I sincerely hope 1945 remains humanity's first and final use of nuclear weapons on itself.
This is exactly the thing keeping me up at night lately. I keep hearing people say that Putin absolutely cannot win, is losing hard, or even that he has already lost, and this makes me nervous. If Putin believes it's all over there's no telling what sort of damage he may be willing to do in retribution.
I don't think he'll succeed even if he does decide to use nukes. Most likely someone in the Russian chain of command will refuse to make a call or turn a key, and the nukes won't be fired, but even the chance that he might give the order is terrifying, and I suspect the more he feels like he's lost the more he'll be tempted to try to take millions down with him.
If even one nuke gets fired, this could so easily set off a vicious chain reaction. If our worst fears are realized and NATO and Russia go ballistic at each other, China could easily take that as their cue to invade Taiwan, North Korea may take it as theirs to make a move on the South, and India and Pakistan might feel it is as good a time as any to wipe out their pesky neighbor. Hopefully even if one gets fired, everyone else has the sense to know that this will likely end our species, but we're all damned if not. The destructive potential of Putin's ambition is global and nearly unlimited.
Let's hope we're right in thinking that nukes are complicated enough to launch and involve enough people that there's at least one level-headed person in each of these countries who will refuse to turn their key. I think the odds are probably still in our favour, but the thread that this all hangs by is looking disturbingly thin lately
Economic sanctions alone are not going to get Russia out of Ukraine, but they will turn Russia into another North Korea.
This seems to be the end point of Authoritarian rulers. Other countries don’t like you, there exists a tiny class of wealthy people while most of the population eats grass, and the rulers live in bunkers, in constant fear of assassination.
I think that every person who has the means is trying to get out of Russia at this point. This constitutes a brain-drain of significant proportions. The people who remain have been through a filter. Maybe they are fine with Authoritarian rulers. Certainly, in the States, there are people who want Trump returned to power. In any case, now they get to live their dream. I hope they enjoy it.
”Mmmm. Grass. Very tasty.”
I believe that political leanings have a genetic basis. It is possible to breed wolves into Chihuahuas. Why would people be any different?
Is this why nothing in North Korea or Russia works? Is this why areas which voted for Trump are experiencing high and entirely preventable deaths from Covid? Or why these same areas are economic basket cases?
What happens when all the smart people leave an area?
Do bad economies creat stupid people, or do stupid people create bad economies?
Am I a man who works at a job, or a worker who happens to be a man?
There might be, now.
The way you turn wolves into Chihuahuas is to shoot all the aggressive wolves and then let the rest breed.
I believe I've read that one of the ways that Liberals and Conservatives differ is in their Fear Response. Sneak up behind one and clap your hands together loudly, and measure the reaction of both types. Conservatives jump, Liberals turn around and wonder where that sound came from.
Have you ever wondered why North America is often called a Gamma culture, because of the high levels of innovation and the emphasis on Capitalism? I believe that N. America was settled by people who did not prosper under monarchies, and were willing to leave everything behind and start a new life in a new place. This sounds very LIE to me, but not exclusively so.
You could make the same argument about the settling of S. America, but there, the settlers encountered large pampas, which were ideal for raising cattle. One ranch owner, many ranch hands. In other words, an environment which naturally led to wealth inequality.
In N. America, the settlers encountered thick forests. A family had to clear a certain amount of land in order to eat, but there is a limit to how much land one man can clear, and this led to most people being relatively equal in terms of wealth.
So, prosperity requires two things; people who can produce it, and circumstances which allow it to happen.
Naturally, even in a population of all LIEs, the next generation is going to tend toward the normal. It might be possible to breed wolves from Chihuahuas, but I don't think that anyone has tried it.
north korea = beta, south korea = gamma
Apparently the Russians are trying to accuse Ukraine of having nuclear weapons, as a pretext to use them against Ukraine:
https://inews.co.uk/news/russian-inv...blower-1501734Quote:
The analyst said that the SVR, Russia’s foreign intelligence service, was trying to “dig up dirt” to claim that Ukraine had built nuclear weapons, a pretext for a pre-emptive strike.
After Russia fired missiles at that nuclear power plant, Putin blamed it on Ukraine (not directly relevant to the above point, but Putin could easily use such plants as a dirty bomb and blame it on Ukraine).
You may be right. I have a lot of baggage from my parents, and I'm not a good enough Ti thinker to make clearly reasoned (or even rational) arguments sometimes. :)
It just seems to me to be something that is quite possible.
For the record, I work with people from all over the world, and the Russians with whom I work are incredibly intelligent. But they are here, in the States, because they were smart enough to leave Russia. We need more people like them here.
One guy has been sending money back to his family in Russia. I should ask him what his plans are.
I think this a normal human quality.

As the reasoning goes: sometimes variety is an evolutionary strength.
I'm going to put my hope in an inside assassination job [the broadest sense of the word]/"treason". It is a foolish lottery but if you have infinite amount of time and infinite amount of lotteries you will win infinite amount of times.
When I first started traveling around the world on business, I had this prejudice that the world was divided between free countries and communist countries, and of course, the free countries were all good and the communist countries were all bad.
This prejudice lasted about six months, and did not survive my encounters with Argentina, Brazil, South Africa, and China.
What I now believe is that the world is divided between those countries where the Law is above Men, and those countries where Men are above the Law.
Surprisingly enough, South Africa is a lawful country, and Argentina and China are Mafia countries. Other Mafia countries are North Korea, Russia, Lebanon, Syria, and parts of New Jersey.
I read somewhere (DarkAngelFireWolf69, probably) that the procession of the Socion moves from Beta to Gamma by the method of Gammas entangling Betas into legal contracts. If so, then that implies that:
Gamma = Rule of Law.
Beta = Rule of Claw.
This sounds like a cosmic theory of infinite universes. But a far spaced out infinity is not as big as a whole 100% infinity.
Birthing the mainframe of matrix headquarters central control could reveal other enigmas, like is it better odds to go for many small chances, or a few big ones?
I have no idea what is going on tbh. Behind the scenes god only knows what’s really really going on. The news is so pro propaganda-ish and we are all a bunch of peasants here, mostly, I’m assuming. I seriously feel brainwashed. I took a political survey yesterday that was so biased it was ridiculous. And at the end they asked my thoughts, and I told them they had some really great brainwashing material right there. Maybe I should shut up. Ill prob end up getting shot, but sometimes I have a really hard time curbing my sarcastic assholism. I think it might even be worth death for the pleasure I get from it.
Taken from reddit: (found the original article too, but it's in French)
Élysée Palace released an image of Macron after calling Putin over Ukraine war today.
I found it interesting in light of their supposed duality (LSI & EIE) according to DarkAngelFireWolf69. Apparently the only western leader still trying to talk some sense into Putin.
https://i.redd.it/5qy3312e01m81.jpg
I personally think putin is LSI and macron IEI, so it"s an activity relationship, which makes quite a lot of sense when you read about it.
Ukraine should concede NATO plans, but only as an amendment to the Budapest Memorandum.
Yes, humans are subject to the same biological laws that govern every other organism, however, I feel like you are ignoring the following:
1) Humans and canines breed at significantly different rates.
2) It took thousands of generations to turn wolves into chihuahuas. If we call the Kievan Rus' the "start" of Russian civilization (based on the interval of a generation derived from https://isogg.org/wiki/How_long_is_a...ides_an_answer) then Russian civilization has only existed for about 40 generations. Even if you don't accept ~30 years as a proper definition for a generation, we're still talking tens (barely a hundred if we're being ludicrously generous) of generations instead of thousands. I'm sure there is some subtle effect of migration and mass deaths of certain segments of the population on the population's genetic makeup, but I struggle to believe that this effect alone would have an even barely perceptible effect on politics if studied rigorously (which I'm not even sure how you would go about doing).
3) Politics, while correlated, are not the same thing as inherited personality tendencies.
4) Human behaviour is significantly more complex and variable than canine behaviour, and both involve a lot of other factors besides genetics.
5) Although there are a great many of us around today, the entire current human population descended from a relatively small original population from a highly specific area. Since leaving Africa we've only had probably five to ten thousand generations to diverge from each other in our entire history - and most of that is well before the dawn of civilization.
Of course, culture and language on the other hand evolves very quickly. It only takes a couple of years to noticeably transform these constructs, but it seems like a bold claim to me to posit that these changes are precipitated by changes in a population's genetic makeup. We aren't a particularly genetically diverse species. I find it easier to accept the interpretation that politics are based in the changing cultural and economic circumstances people find themselves in, and that personality type distribution in a given population is fairly close to random.
No idea. It's an instinctual reaction, not a thoughtful judgement. When I see all these videos of violent tragedy in Ukraine I definitely experience negative feelings. I feel sadness, anger, and a hunger for justice, but I don't feel that grey feeling of deathly, dispiriting depression I get from observing social engineering and authoritarian legal control over everything. I find it personally very easy to romanticize a violent struggle and don't think I'm prone to feeling hopeless in the face of one, but legal struggles seem so much more smothering and hopeless - requiring large sums of money and a different sort of cunning to even have a chance at winning.
Once again, I'm only speaking about my emotions in response to these things. I don't wish for violence. I assume it's just cause I'm Te-PoLR and value Se
A few observations:
* Sanctions have an extremely poor track record of instigating regime change. If the Cuban regime is still alive, if Velayat-e Faqih is still alive in spite of Donald Trump's "maximum pressure" campaign, that bodes well for Putin's chances of survival.
* The immediate winner of the sanctions will be China, which will have access to a buyer's market in cheap minerals and fossil fuels, mimicking Iran's dependence on China.
* The desire to align Ukraine with Russia isn't unique to Putin; the Russian elite has always felt that Ukraine was central to Russian prestige. Even if Putin wasn't in office, even if the Russian executive had limited powers, Ukraine will still be central to Russian self-perception and nationalism. Ukraine's alignment with the West will always be perceived as invasive and raise the threat of war. George Kennan (the influential American strategist) wrote that the expansion was unnecessarily antagonistic towards Russia.
Kissinger believed that focusing on Putin as a uniquely antagonistic villain, as opposed to engaging with this fundamental issue, is an alibi for a lack of strategy.
* What may have changed lately (and what may explain the erratic decision to invade) is Putin's accumulation of more power, which used to be more delegated and dispersed (even within the executive branch, which consisted of 'old guard' who felt and were perceived as more-or-less equal to Putin). Putin may have surrounded himself with yes-men who were too afraid to offer constructive criticism.
* George Kennan also said that the United States hadn't the capability or intention to protect eastern Europe. I couldn't find any further elaboration, but even if he was wrong, the idea that joining NATO would guarantee a country's safety seems like an unexamined assumption.
When Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait, OTOH, the United States intervened militarily and without hesitation, without any soul searching. Kuwait had UNSC protection, but it wasn't part of any ultra formal, multinational alliance with the coalition that liberated it. The United States didn't need a piece of paper, then. Something must be different about Ukraine.
The US was paid handsomely to intervene, by the gulf states, mainly SA and Kuwait. I remember that emergency Arab Summit. Saudi Arabia and Egypt led the pro US movement and Libya and Yemen were the main opposition. Mubarak steamrolled that summit. Egypt received approximately $7 billion in debt forgiveness for its providing of support and troops for the US-led intervention. Reports of US rewards were said to be close to $30 billion.
