Introduction from an [alleged] IEI-Fe
Hello members of the16types community!
[I do not expect anyone to read this post in full, this is only something for me to maybe look back on]
It took me more than a month to be able to register for this site! For some reason I was always getting an error with the following message: "Registration denied, this forum runs an active policy of not allowing spammers. Please contact us via the "Contact Us" page link if you believe this is in error". [I wanted to contact 'us' but apparently e-mails are no longer accepted!!] I think it had something to do with the username I chose, being "None", and the system perhaps detected it as spam as when I made my username gibberish the system accepted my application. This was a month or so ago and at that time I do believe that the feature to 'change your username' was not implemented as if it were I simply would have changed it at that time. Now I forgot the details of that account so I made a new one with this same username and the system would again not accept my application! I changed the field to something random again, and then the system accepted it again. Once I got into the profile 'editing' page I saw the little box saying that 'your username can be changed as often as you want' [often being a maximum of 5 times?!] and now finally after all this effort I was able to register with the username that I wanted.
Now to paint a broad stroke of myself, I created this account to discuss socionics, but I am sure that the range of topics allowed on a forum such as this to be quite broad. I have only gotten into socionics just this year but have read up on the model A as well as the works of Socionicists such as Victor DarkAngelFireWolf69 and Ekaterina Filatova. This particular site served as a 'guide' in introducing me to socionics so rest assured my understanding of the types does not come from 'memes'. That being said I still definitely am a beginner and still have yet to form a complete and thorough understanding of the nuisances of 'information metabolism' nor can I say that I have typed myself 100% accurately. We all have 'blind spots', after all?
I can say with near certainty that I am of the 'Beta Quadra', which I think should not be the case given that the IEI is the 'Black Sheep' of this Quadra- but from the Quadra complexes and my understanding of the elements it was Ni which came across to me as my base function and Fe as my creative. Certainly I am the most 'tame' of the betas. The other type which I mulled over deeply was the Delta EII which seemingly should not be the case because the elements are so different! I had a similar dilemma with the MBTI INFP/J. People I think have trouble in determining their primary function. In AimToKnow's test and MBTI 'Jung' style tests it is Ni/Ne which is consistently my highest result save for the MBTI Fi being very near both. The only reason I am much sure that I am an MBTI Fi user is how much much that function dominates over Fe, While in socionics the Fe elements dominate over the Fi element! Attached are my AimToKnow results, in which I consistently turn out to be an 'IEI' albeit with close runner ups. What is most shocking to me is how in the dichotomies extraversion triumphs over introversion, while in reality I am somewhat of a recluse. Now I have given more time than is due to both 'tests' and 'MBTI', but to conclude: with my matching of the renin dichotomies, reading of type descriptions, complexes, and intertype relations, mostly I think it is the IEI which is most apt fit for me. Obviously I am open to anyone changing my mind, however this will only come through forum activity and people commenting/noticing my 'behavior' as I am uninterested in sharing life details/posting pictures of my person.
The areas of interest for me are mainly art, history and philosophy, though philosophy as an activity concerns itself with all areas~! so you can say that I am interested in a little bit of everything. In psychology I enjoy Freud and Jung, I think the modern psychiatric community discredits these individuals quite erroneously, but what business does the hobbyist have in dictating the studies of the 'professionals'? Indeed there is a kind of power in being able to brand an individual 'normal' or 'abnormal', as what is seen as normal or abnormal behavior is defined by the historically contextual authorities!
Okay, now I will put an abrupt end to this. I have rambled for too long. I think this is a footstep in sketching a picture of who I am. The rest of my engagement on this forum will form the 'painting'. If you read this far, thank you for reading! However, I must ask if this is a wise use of your time—reading forum posts of strangers on the internet introducing themselves?
Have a beautiful day!
