Dunno. I kiss my toddler's head a lot, so maybe also a dadderly thing. It's just.... there's nothing like ... your own child. Words fail.
I have a toddler who is tantrum prone and really strong and have it her way has very much put my Se polr on the spot for me. Not only am I NOT into punishment and discipline but I am also so exhausted at the amount of energy I have to outpour at explaining things in a rational way to someone who I really want to understand what I’m saying to her.
You are "into", based on your significant dominating attitude, you like to give strict and harsh commands to other people. :)
This is natural for your Se and Fe values, besides extravertion and possible E8.
Also to be "super affectionate" - to express extensive emotions is common for Fe - EIE, but not EII. Base Fi are lesser emotionally intrusive and demonstrative.
I have had relationships with more than a few Fi-types and none were truly affectionate in a spontaneous sense. Most were understanding, had good intentions and were very loyal in an obligation sense but if I were to put my arms around them when they weren't prepared, I could often feel recoil; note that they certainly can display great affection when on their own schedule. None seemed to have had unconditional feelings at a cognitive level even toward their own children although I'm sure there's an animalistic component present (that motherly thing?). Me saying this is like the kettle calling the pot black but I doubt that many Eps or Ijs are aware that the subtleties of their innate detached-nature can be detected by others - especially by other Eps and Ijs who recognize it in themselves.
