IR test (by Sol)

Finally did it properly. I got 7/16 right when guessing but I already knew 2 or 3 of those. IEI I initially confused with IEE but when I saw IEE it was obvious. I got SLE and SEE the wrong way around and same with LSE / LIE.

In order to not spoil the order I'll talk about them in quadra order.

Alpha- Found these the nicest. ESE was the most intense and sometimes I found them too much. SEIs are goofy and cute - sometimes a little too cute with the girls. ILEs are charming. I want to hug all the LIIS.

Beta- I liked SLE way more than I thought. I mistook them for SEE because of all the smiling and laughing but I guess that's Fe valuing over Fi? They were surprisingly cute. EIE were fine - not as intense as ESE but take themselves a little too seriously? LSI are cool as well but not as cute as LII and a little serious again. IEI I liked.

Gamma- Omg I hate gamma. SEE was the one I hated the most. The men in particular were unbearable. ILI were the most boring. LIE were boring but less so (I thought they were ILI). ESI were way more intense than I thought they'd be. I completely mistyped them. One of the ASMR vids was really creepy and when I watched an ESI speaking Russian I felt like they were telling me off. Like a school principal who was disappointed in me.

Delta- my comment for EII was "nice and inoffensive". LSE I thought were too serious; I had low interest in them. SLI was less boring than I thought they'd be but still pretty boring. I quite liked them anyway. I mistyped IEI as IEE at first but as soon as I saw the IEEs for real I realised the mistake because I perked up more around them. They feel fresh, particularly coming off the back of ESI.

that fits my experience of ITR well, except maybe for extinguisher. oppress is kind of a strong word, it might have to do with who is the extrovert and who is the introvert or other factors

I really felt the Merry / Serious dichotomy in doing this and distinctly preferred the merry regardless of type and quadra. Other than that, what you just described seems right.
@Sol I removed the link / names. I will keep an open mind for EIE (just for you!). Feel free to point out if you think I'm acting / saying something that is EIE around the forum and I will look into it more as well. So far I just do not see any Ni :shrug:

I'm sure you'll understand later that EIE fits you better. :) You are a novice and this will take the time. With my examples among the most pleasant for you were subordere and subrevisie for SEI - the types among the least personally pleasant. It's significant contradiction which allows to reject SEI and think about other types.

I will keep trying to recognise Ni and see if I can judge for myself if I use it. This test was really good, though! I enjoyed doing it and was surprised by how much variation there was in my reactions

ILI and ILE were my favourite, it seems. I felt a sort of familiarity, calmness about them.

I also to an extent liked ESE, LII and EIE videos.

SLE and SEE videos were my least favourite. Seemed loud, intense and unpleasant viewing.

Ni is when you _feel_ what and when to do. When you feel it's better to choose this way but not other one.
When you have no issues to wait for something as you are sure in the success and all will go as you feel it.

It's hard for Si types to be sure in the future result, as they do not feel good the connection with the events flow. They calm themselves by concentration on the current deals, by stoping to think about future and think alike "just do what you need and lets happen what will happen". They may to use Ni, but it's unusual, hard, not pleasant and is perceived as alien for them - it's not their trained and good conscious region and they have the lack of positive practice to trust to own feelings.
Si types like to care about pleasant sensations - the most quality food, clothes, - and it should to fit to their taste. Where N types get pleasure from fantasing, Si type will buy a cake. :)

In case of base T type you'd prefer to follow the rules.

so something I do a lot of is acting on impulse / following my feelings. I generally know what I want and have no issues in chasing it. For example, I've moved cities at least once a year every year for the past 3-4 years to chase a job / university course / I liked the look of the city / believed I'd be happier elsewhere. And usually people try to talk me out of it and list practical reasons not to, which I ignore :P

I interpreted this as bad Ni because it makes the flow of events really chaotic and generally I don't know what I'm going to be doing more than one month in advance. And the people warning me are using good Ni to perceive danger I can't see. But in your description above, using my feelings to know what to do next / when I've exhausted on option / when something new will benefit me more is an example of me using good Ni? Particularly this bit about sensors: "lack of positive practice to trust to own feelings" is the opposite to me because I usually trust that I know what will be best for me more than anyone else and usually run contraflow to general opinion and take risks. And fwiw, I'm usually right and now am very over-confident and optimistic (the confidence of a young person who hasn't failed enough yet, probably haha).

It's not common for J types behavior. But something besides types may produce it too.
Against SEI is they are lazy and more cautious for such activity. It's N types who jump into unknown waters with the more wish.

Ne - seeking better possibilities and Ni - in trusting that all will be ok there.

For J types is more effective to find something good and to hold there - to develop on that place/region slowly. The initial stage is important - pay more time and resources for this, to find what you want - such it should be good enough from the start so you did not found easily what looks as better.

yep. S types prefer to trust to practice and concretely seen, while N types to use feelings about "what is good" and to follow them

Ehhh for what this is worth, I relate to all of this to a 'T'. I don't think of this as strong Ni. Ni is when you have a gut feeling about how something will turn out in the future. Following impulse has more to do with Si ('I do what I want right now, and I don't listen to the warnings of the future because who really knows what might really happen'). Usually following my Si impulses turns out well for me, also. There are only a few times I really regret not having used Ni beforehand.

I did do this. I watched the videos, ranked them as well as i could (i had a hard time determining clearly what group i liked better than others, though some were clearly better or worse), and then i looked at key and saw the corresponding types. ILI and ILE were clear favourites, while SEE and SLE put me off most. Why do you think i did the thing you thought i did? Is it because SLE and SEE are both Se doms? AFAIK ILI and ILE are not types traditionally seen as grouped together.

I think I generally "know" what's best for me but idk if that's iNtuition or just me trying to rationalise dumb impulses. I'd say it's less about "I need to try this new thing" and more "this thing will be better for me" so mb that's Ni>Ne?

I generally 'know' what's best for me too...but as for the second part, that could suggest Ni > Ne. But SEIs generally don't take the initiative in Ne matters anyways, they let the Ne-egos bring them along for new, novel activities. This doesn't really change my opinion of you likely being Ne-valuing over Ni-valuing...

Good. But you did not do full types sorting list as was recommended. That would said about your type more, in case you seriously did the procedure and followed the minimums to watch.

From your message follows: 2 top (ILI, ILE), 2 bottom (SLE, SEE) types. In those top you are not totally sure ("it seems"). The place of all other types is not clear too, except ESE, LII, EIE are not near the bottom.
There are signes that you are attracted to base N types, while have no interest to base S - this points to possible S type, more for base S. The more types among you've mentioned as liked are Ne/Si valued ones. While all reported as disliked are Ni/Se valued - and this is their leading function, the most noticed trait. You may to have Si type. Your choice to top and bottom only of P types points on your P type, as they are more important for you. Among Si types, according to the chaos in your room, only P types fit too.
Based on this, there is the possibility that your type is SLI or SEI. More for SLI, as personal sympathy to SEI's superego (ILI) and subrevisie (EIE) is lesser possible than disliking for SLI's his mirages (SEE) and the sympathy to revisor (ESE), orderer (LII), conflictor (EIE). Revisors are perceived more as interesting people and orderers as charming ones. Conflictors may be perceived positively at the distance easily, - cute girls in my perception, for example.

There was no the assertion that you've rejected the blind sorting. I've mentioned what should was being done, where I was sure only in that you did not list all the types as was recommended. Though, I supposed the higher possibility that with the rejecting of one important recommendation you could to reject other ones too.

Types with neutral and good IR mb close in your sympathies. It's so for SLI.
The situation with those types at top is more doubtful for LII as your type.

Your results show significant possibility for my main opinion about your type as SLI.
To distinguish which one is more possible between LII and SLI try to understand which types are more psychically comfortable for you: ESE or IEE, ESE+EIE or IEE+ILE. I think you are close to the understanding.

Thank you for taking the time, i appreciate your willingness to help and educate me very much.

I notice that i am 'activated' by Fe base types - ESE and EIE make me 'come alive' and have the ability to ignite me. Ne dom types, ILE and IEE i more feel familiar with their way of seeing patterns, i can easily follow the threads and i understand the viewpoint, though i can in specific occasions find it needlessly erratic.
I feel independent in inspiration, creative thinking and following many abstract ideas to various tangents, while i feel at the mercy of people who express good atmosphere and know how to dwell in comfort and good emotions. I do not seek close personal contact or people who ignite inspiration and novel experience very much. I am always to preoccupied with constant interest and thinking hobbies that i never seem to be in a state of equilibrium in mind or body. (not in a bad way, i'm just always in motion thought-wise, circulating interests and synthesizing knowledge from various fields of importance and connecting them to serve my main mental sight in a given moment)

Thank you for the analysis in any case, i will study IR with others even more to spot if SLI is the main possibility, though i feel most learned around Si and Fe Ego from what i have analysed so far. (though i also seem to value when Te does practical things for me, as i am not interested in learning such and i am bad with things regarding hand work, something Socionics relates normally to delta ST, AFAIK)

Is there any significant possibility of me being EII, SEI or ILI?

PS. when watching videos, LII girl 3 seemed to resemble my own way of speech when i am immersed, per my own observation. I get shy around cameras and videos, but this might be my own self-deception.

I may relate most to SLI in test and by your opinion of my VI, but i do not relate to any SLI description or Model A structure in any matter i would consider significant. I will continue to speculate in any case.

I seem to fit LII very well in IR with others, whom i'm fairly certain of type wise. Of course this says nothing if i fundamentally misunderstand the theory, which i am still open to, though i doubt it with regards to the central aspects. It was good to hear your thoughts. :)

Hm. This could be a factor, of course.

I will say that i did not have these thoughts while researching SLI type, i was also mostly trying to fit the IE's into model A while reading about the functions/elements to find a match. I react well to good atmosphere and creation of stability, i am not interested in the lives of others on an individual level, i have no interest in efficiency if it does not fit my particular scope, i am not observant or skilled in regards to living space, food, etc.

I am outwardly lacking and seem lazy with regards to establishment of relations/involvement socially and i need someone to fill me in on how to relate to problems of a physical nature, how to create equilibrium in body etc.

But in my mind i am categorical, nimble and diligent. I'm not at all someone who ''goes with the flow'' or takes it easy, internally.

The only types i really see as significantly possible, according to Model A, would be LII or ILE now. (which i know isn't all that the theory encapsulates)

Rather, i see qualities in SLI type that i wished i possessed, and i see as very positive.

Though, you and Sol have me pegged as SLI (at least initially), and that's gotta count for something, so i am still very open to the idea, i just can't see enough justification yet. (as in arguments based on how model a shines through my posts, video etc.)

I can point to contradictions according to SLI behaviour as well, though this is useless if i have only oriented myself in misleading theory. :P

Filatova descriptions on this site i relate (with my faulty theory according to you, so this means nothing) most to LII. Are the books the only reliable source for me to study?

I will keep researching IR and own processes and thoughts. For now LII seems most likely to me. I will hopefully resolve the different perspectives when i study some more.

I didn't spoiler it, I had no idea what the types were when I went through it, this was just my "intuitive" impression of each type. I could sort this into a list from what I believe I liked the most to least if that is more helpful?

@Sol Ok, I sorted them instead of just saying impressions:

1 EIE - I like them the most pretty easily, they seemed very sweet and like-able.
2 SLI - One of the girls was very funny, 2/3 of them seemed like I would get along with.
3 SEI - They seem ok, I liked them for the most part
4 LSI - 2/3 of them seemed good, no English speaking females so hard to judge entirely.

5 IEI - They seem ok, a couple I liked quite a bit.
6 ESE - Crazy, about 50/50 funny/annoying, they seem ok but I probably couldn't deal with them for a long period of time.
7 IEE - Seem nice, kind of like them.

May prefer T types (base T at top 2, 4/5 at top 5), 2 base T at bottom - more possible F.
then: EIE, IEI, SEE, ESI. more for J ones. by the behavior IEI mb excluded. SEE is doubtful as has superego near the top, while dual and semidual are rather below superego and suborderie
among T types I exclude base T by the behavior and also doubtful by IR, then: ILE, SLE, ILI, SLI. ILE mb rejected by IR. SLE also as has the dual at bottom and the suborderie at top. SLI is similarly doubtful as has the subrevisie at top and the dual near the bottom.

in sum: EIE, ESI, ILI
among them both J types have the dual at top and superego at bottom. you prefer J types some more. against ILI is also that you have higher interest to T types
EIE has more chances than ESI, as LSI and LSE are at 1 and 16. ESI has the subrevisie at top.

I recommend you pm me your videointerview for the typing, as this test is a supportive tool. As you may see several types are possible in the results, while you need a single type.

When you'll notice you are getting the stable match with expected peoples behavior and IR theory durnig the monthes and years - you'll understand the types are correct and your typing skills are good enough to use them. The more you practice, the more positive results you are geting, - the more you understand the typology and the degree you may trust to your opinions.

I type people pretty well. I may or may not post here, and you don't have to believe me, but I know exactly what you mean and I've been applying it for a long time. It just takes longer to see myself objectively. I've been getting the stable matches you talk about for a while now :) and I had never ruled out EIE anyway.

If you recently have changed the opinion even about _own_ type or doubt in it, - there is no good basis to think such still. After some years of regular typing and watching people near, in case of positive checking described above - you'll get this basis.

In case you did not saw the key before the sorting then results fit not bad to base Ti type. You have placed the both base Fe at very top, while base Fi to the last place and the other Fi to 2nd last.
Among them, LSI looks as some more possible.

This may be due to adblock/firewall settings which block the image hosting I used. You may try to open the page with images in one of online proxies (URL encryption option there mb needed), to add the image hosting to white list, to use a computer with other settings, etc.

I've noticed that some clips by the links are removed. I should fix this during the next test update or mb sooner. At now, for those clips you may try to use the bloggers names (under the links) to find their channels and other clips with good seen face.

The test in the current form is more a supportive method. To show what is more possible between some types.
For example, IEI/INFP should not be your type according to having SLE on the last place and its subrevisie at top. While EII is significantly more possible.

When I made your test, I noticed my strong negative reaction to IEE, to my surprise. I didn't have this strong a reaction to any other type (except INTp who were just... eww. So disheveled. Kinda scary at that). I wonder what that means. They annoyed me so much. They all looked like they were desperately calling for my attention and/or sympathy, like they needed me to see them and only them. I saw so much faking in them it disturbed me. This could be related to the fact that I saw my old boyfriend in their expressions. Or this could be that I'm in strong denial about myself, if I'm indeed one of them . the only missing FN is IEI what can be explained that it's superego for SLI - the worst IR. while conflictors on a distance can be perceived positively. as to have superego in top is low possibly, then the situation points on SLI as most possible among TS

6/8 of your up half are E types and all bottom 4 are I types. So you prefer E types, what points on your introvertion.
Also most of up half are F (5/8) and N (6/8) types, what with 3 FN at top points on good possibility of TS. Most at up half are P types (5/8), what points on some more for your P.

some % of mistakes will stay, so even when you are sure in someone's type - it's better to watch him for several monthes. if assured opinion stays - then you may make decisions based on the typology.
it's especially important with typing women for pairs, where emotions make harder to think reasonably. also nontypes factors are important too and needs a time to understand a human better, including when it has good IR for pairs as duality/semiduality/activation. we all understand this, but it needs efforts to follow this and it's useful to remind about this

Edit: Adults cheat too. It is naive to think they don't. It is not always about self control. It is about curiosity sometimes. The reason more people do not take your test is because it takes a lot of time. Then again by socionics standards that is your polr so there you have it... It is devaluing other people's time to ask them to take a test, you estimate to take 8 hours, when they have other things to do as well. People have school, careers and families to deal with too.

To understand the use of something it needs some knowledge, while the ones who asks abour own types mostly have no it. And there is nothing objective to change their own perception. They see just another dude on forums which does alike anyone else here - posts own speculations. Someones (mb 50%) did the test badly as did not follow to recommendations - how those cases can be distinguished from normal testing? Here is a mix of relatively good and so so results, - leads to not good general impression. While the reasons behind this are unknown - mb it's not good test, this reduces the wish to do it for many ones.

When you'll know about better IR checking alternative - then I'll hear with an interest your words about time devaluing.
I myself checked own type by IR with IRL people for several monthes to be sure in it. To check by the existing videos in Internet there is no sooner way with acceptable accuracy - I tried to use a single clip per a human - that gave significantly lower typing matches in my experiment on socioforum, only 2 clips have given the average matche comparable with IRL interview in SRT-99. You need at least 2 examples per a type to generalize the impressions and such to be able to remove nontypes factors. As are used bloggers but not special typing videointerviews - I've added 3rd example. Mb you may watch a clip for lesser time in case you are N type, but S types need to watch longer to understand correctly the impressions - those 3-4 minutes are based on my own experience of me being S type. All my recommendations are not taken from nowhere - they are practical minimum.
The monthes is the time for alternative approach on comparable IR checking. But 8 hours is so much compared to monthes and years. People may do incompetent flood, to discuss heresies or random stuff on the forum with other noobs for several hours per a week - this deserves more of their time, sure. Flood's time is holly time. Aylen's time police watches and protects you. Oh that IR test - 8 hours of unholy IR checking, unholly by Ne devaluing IEIs standards. :)

I do think that I relate more to Fi dual seeking rather than Ne. My interactions with ESI and EIIs have been very refreshing and "humanizing", but I think that my general attraction to extraverts is a stronger indicator than one position, wouldn't you say so ?

Many people even still think it's ok to post a questionnaire to be correctly typed lol - sure they'll be typed by noobs and being novices can be impressed by the arguments to accept the bs they get. To understand the use of something it needs some knowledge, while the ones who asks abour own types mostly have no it. And there is nothing objective to change their own perception. They see just another dude on forums which does alike anyone else here - posts own speculations. Someones (mb 50%) did the test badly as did not follow to recommendations - how those cases can be distinguished from normal testing? Here is a mix of relatively good and so so results, - leads to not good general impression. While the reasons behind this are unknown - mb it's not good test, this reduces the wish to do it for many ones.

to study the typing and to type people by yourself for IR checking will take much longer. the current recommendations is the only and still partial alternative. try to offer better way, having strong N and kind of lesser devaluing of peoples time :) if you do not know better ways, then there is no basis to claim about the devaluing

the example of SLI above I suppose was glad to spend some hours to get a proof of his SLI. he still needs to do own research and own typing, but at now has alike 80-90% chance his type is SLI. while some dudes here try to understand own types for years without IR or with lame own typing

When you'll know about better IR checking alternative - then I'll hear with an interest your words about time devaluing.
I myself checked own type by IR with IRL people for several monthes to be sure in it. To check by the existing videos in Internet there is no sooner way with acceptable accuracy - I tried to use a single clip per a human - that gave significantly lower typing matches in my experiment on socioforum, only 2 clips have given the average matche comparable with IRL interview in SRT-99. You need at least 2 examples per a type to generalize the impressions and such to be able to remove nontypes factors. As are used bloggers but not special typing videointerviews - I've added 3rd example. Mb you may watch a clip for lesser time in case you are N type, but S types need to watch longer to understand correctly the impressions - those 3-4 minutes are based on my own experience of me being S type. All my recommendations are not taken from nowhere - they are practical minimum.
The monthes is the time for alternative approach on comparable IR checking. But 8 hours is so much compared to monthes and years. People may do incompetent flood, to discuss heresies or random stuff on the forum with other noobs for several hours per a week - this deserves more of their time, sure. Flood's time is holly time. Aylen's time police watches and protects you. Oh that IR test - 8 hours of unholy IR checking, unholly by Ne devaluing IEIs standards. :)

Types of people could be other than you suppose and those interactions be too limited to notice IR effects as expected.
ESIs from the list you've placed to bottom (what is expected for SLI having them as subrevisie), while EIE - LSE's superegos to top. This excludes LSE for you. Besides other factors which point on SLI as more possible.

Also, LSE do not change types is profiles so easily. :) We are reasonable and so do mistakes only after good thinking.

That's an interesting point, actually. I do change my opinions quite often, which I assume is a big indicator of being an irrational type. Would you say so ?

Base T types to decide or to make a claim prefer a good basis - the most reasonable types. So they change opinions not easily, especially public claims.

I saw a dude which changed types in own profile several times during ~3 monthes. He was on the forum for several years. Seems depending on the types of girls (in their profiles) with which ones he flirted on the forum in that moment. :) The initial type which he claimed himself was SEE. Then his profile had SLE, LSI and the last what I saw was LSE when he flooded with ESI which claimed herself as EII. :) I saw he uses more flowery language than T types, far from my own style and strange situation with his type - noticed him, and he has reacted with strange anger as seems I opposed to his game.

It should be noted that neither of these people have publicly accepted what you type them. I suppose since you mentioned them, they can express agreement if they wish to.

If those were not noobs with unstable opinions. And there was no objectively bad typing skills even at experienced in typing (mb <10% of active in Socionics), what is seen in real typing matches <50%.
Then what those think about own types would be important.

also
aster claimed it as EII (what is close), kept doubts during this and seems the same stays.
Lynx (seems) claimed it as ESI, until recently has changed it.

Esi and EII are just soft and supportive and forgiving to a great extent that makes for easy going interaction ms with ISTP also EII like trying new things so activate SLI
