Right now I'm listening to a fan and sappy music from an old mystery show. When I go to sleep, I'll be listening to Tchaikovsky once again.

"There is one thing I can be sure of: I am going to die. But what am I to make of that fact? This course will examine a number of issues that arise once we begin to reflect on our mortality. The possibility that death may not actually be the end is considered. Are we, in some sense, immortal? Would immortality be desirable? Also a clearer notion of what it is to die is examined. What does it mean to say that a person has died? What kind of fact is that? And, finally, different attitudes to death are evaluated. Is death an evil? How? Why? Is suicide morally permissible? Is it rational? How should the knowledge that I am going to die affect the way I live my life?
Shelly Kagan is Clark Professor of Philosophy at Yale. After receiving his B.A. from Wesleyan University in 1976, and his Ph.D. from Princeton University in 1982, he taught at the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Illinois at Chicago before coming to Yale in 1995. He is the author of the textbook Normative Ethics, which systematically reviews alternative positions concerning the basic rules of morality and their possible foundations, and The Limits of Morality, which challenges two of the most widely shared beliefs about the requirements of morality. He is currently at work on The Geometry of Desert."
Awesome 20-hour lecture series (skip the first file, he just drones about grading papers and other boring stuff to impress the students) and nowhere near as morbid or off-putting as the title might suggest. Memento mori, bitches! *wink*
Prokofiev 1-7 and playing chess.

I'm listening to E.T. by Katy Perry. I'm obsessed with this song now and therefore must listen to it over and over until I get sick of it. Then I will be sad wishing for a new song to be obsessed with. Then I will have to chase the dragon all over again.

Aw, not sure why but this song has always meant a lot to me. Nostalgia night, I guess.
Right now I'm listening to my Best Classical Melodies compilation I took from a 100 CD set. It features melodically developed pieces from Mozart, Dvorak, Bach, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Grieg, Tchaikovsky and many others. I'm still in the process of putting it all together.

Best piece of music imho ever written. The shifts and the changes and everything is just fucking miraculous. It's an emotional roller coaster unlike anything else I've ever listened to really. Funny thing is none of the parts are actually extremely memorable on their own(though very very good). Nothing really catchy though like in some of his other pieces. It's like the whole piece together with all the parts combined just kind of makes perfect sense.
right now i'm listening to the rotating fan in the corner.
I've been listening mostly to Dead Can Dance songs today. Was in the mood for them.
I dedicate this song to New Born Star:
