My mom loved it when dad would bring home all manner of objects. A new coffee table, a new clock, a neat old knife. She lets people bring her sensory experience. She also loves it when I get her colorful shirts that are her style.

It's is so unlike me though. I'll keep an object for a long time often taking very good care of it and thus don't have the need for a replacement. As for dishes a simple elegant white is what I have and stick with. She has had so many different kinds. My bf too has a Cordell set from forever and that's all he's had.
