soc/sp
This type is often the most comfortable in group settings, but tends to be a bit formal and awkward in one to one relations. This is the natural political type, affiliating themselves with groups or theories which best defend their social and material interests. They may lack warmth and individual identity and this could lead to problems in forming meaningful relationships outside of a shared social interest. The motivation for this type is to attain status within their chosen sphere – the “social climber.”
Examples of soc/sp: Hillary Clinton, Bill O’Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ted Nugent
Social dominant, Self-Preservation 2nd, Sexual blindspot (SO/SP)
• Mindset: "If I can establish an orderly and pleasing lifestyle, I can make sure of and keep improving my position and inclusion in the group/world."
• Comfortable in group settings, can be formal/awkward in one on one relations
• Natural political type, affiliate with groups/theories that best defend their social/material interests
• Can lack warmth and individual identity, could lead to problems forming relationships outside of a shared social interest
• Want to attain status within their social sphere
• Archetypes: The Bishop, witch hunter, ethnic cleanser, culture warrior
• Missing SX water/fire, has a sober quality, not led down the road of fantastical/addictive, arid
• Emotionally difficult to reach with regards to self-revelation and exchanges around theirs and others’ personal messy underbellies
• Lack of psychological nudity
• Less likely to flash their eccentricities, not susceptible to impractical highs
• Pragmatic, looking for resources/political advantage
• Less likely to mark the environment as their own
• Tend towards the patriotic/nationalistic exclusive of the personal, native land SP combines with social mores SO, righteousness and loyalty to higher principals, history, social theme
• Physical space SP is subject of communal protective drive SO
• SO/SP seems to want to "change the earth with the voice". (Earth=SP, Voice=air=SO.) And since SX is last, the interest is generally in pragmatic structural change. Regalness also comes through as a tone here. Air is high and mighty ("Putting on airs"). Has a dry deepness that can seem either warm, romantic, and resonant, or cold and cynical, depending on the mood and circumstance of the individual. With SX last, intimacy is an area of deficiency, and people of this stacking often struggle to some degree with maintaining romantic relationships. The central focus is on role within a group.
• Pair Bonding: Needs friendship in relationship, wants mate to be best friend
• Energy: Mechanical energy -> Potential energy
Focus on the interaction of things again, but then they also focus on their fitness, and how fit those interactions are. Use their fitness as a away of reinforcing the strength of the interactions as well (“I will do better at work if I am well-suited”).
• SO-first - identify with being socially adaptive
• SX-last - clean, parched
• smooth with a crust
• concerned with the well-being of the collective
• warm outward focus retreats quickly inward when threatened
Why do SO/SP's monitor the collective well being?
SO/SP's project survival consciousness into the social realm
SP ---> into ---> SO

Patrick Bateman: Unhealthy So/Sp (Type 3).
The scenes above are also very Gamma.
I somehow got this weird image in my head that so/sp men kinda end up as these 50 something year old dudes without a wife, being rich and fucking around without ever committing. I often seem to have a problem seeing them in a relationship at all too. It's easier with the women. I probably have too many biases, haha. From the very feeeew stuff I know about Jake Paul I kinda could see him having the social instinct in his stacking.
Not sure if y'all are being entirely serious, but...
You guys are going way too mastermind-y on the So/Sp interpretation. Not everyone needs to be at the top of some sort of pyramid. I just like to feel appreciated, and I want to feel appreciated for the right reasons. Being well-regarded for a sham marriage? Not really fulfilling my need to feel connected to people. Maybe if I was a 3 I'd feel differently.

One of my favorite songs.
Katherine Fauvre actually wrote about what each type of romantic relationship each type prefers
SX/SP: needs intimate, exciting, secure bonds
SX/SO: needs close bonds with mate and personal group of friends
SO/SX: Needs friendly bonds with mate, groups of friends, and community at large
SO/SP: Needs friendship in relationship, wants mate to be best friend
SP/SX: Needs secure bond with mate that is attractive but brings security
SP/SO: Needs shared drive for security and shared group of friends
So, yeah, ideally So/Sp wants a partner or a friend, not a sham.
Oh hey, another So-dom song from a teen-oriented musical. The stereotypical dog-eat-dog, keep-your-wits-about-you depiction of high school in media cultivates a So/Sp response. And, of course, there's some truth to the So focus as well--honestly it depends on one's perspective whether the stereotypical teenage experience is Sx-dom or So-dom. I'm inclined to say the latter, but, well... bias.

I'm just Michael who you don't know, Michael flyin' solo
Michael in the bathroom by himself!
This is from one of the musical's side characters. The lead, Jeremy, who doesn't show up in this scene, strikes me as more of a really uncool Sx-dom, constantly obsessed with his (sex) appeal and his "game". Contrast with this So-heavy song, which is all about losing a sense of companionship. In teen fashion, the floor drops out completely from under Michael once he loses his one friendship and social place. A great exaggerated form of So-dominance.
Harry turns into Sp/Sx as he becomes unhealthy.
Other than that, he is concerned about social status, friendships, and doesn't really have any strong SX ties to anyone, nor the desire for such.
To be fair, the movie revolves around his unhealthy SP, so I can see why one would type him as Sp/Sx.
He has an So/Sp outer character, being affluent and highly educated and well-put together socially etc., but for the inner story arc they went for something more Sp/Sx.
So he is like a mix of the two.
The gif I showed is rather unhealthy So/Sp moving to Sp/Sx > Sp/Sx, that is why I posted it here.

""Dogma"
All we want is a headrush
All we want is to get out of our skin for a while
We have nothing to lose because we don't have anything
Anything we want anyway...
We used to hate people
Now we just make fun of them
It's more effective that way
We don't live
We just scratch on day to day
With nothing but matchbooks and sarcasm in our pockets
And all we are waiting for is for something worth waiting for
Let's admit America gets the celebrities we deserve
Let's stop saying "Don't quote me" because if no one quotes you
You probably haven't said a thing worth saying
We need something to kill the pain of all that nothing inside
We all just want to die a little bit
We fear that pop-culture is the only culture we're ever going to have
We want to stop reading magazines
Stop watching T.V.
Stop caring about Hollywood
But we're addicted to the things we hate
We don't run Washington and no one really does
Ask not what you can do for your country
Ask what your country did to you
The only reason you're still alive is because someone
Has decided to let you live
We owe so much money we're not broke we're broken
We're so poor we can't even pay attention
So what do you want?
You want to be famous and rich and happy
But you're terrified you have nothing to offer this world
Nothing to say and no way to say it
But you can say it in three languages
You are more than the sum of what you consume
Desire is not an occupation
You are alternately thrilled and desperate
Skyhigh and fucked
Let's stop praying for someone to save us and start saving ourselves
Let's stop this and start over
Let's go out - let's keep going
This is your life - this is your fucking life
We need something to kill the pain of all that nothing inside
Quit whining you haven't done anything wrong because frankly
You haven't done much of anything
Someone's writing down your mistakes
Someone's documenting your downfall"

im a four so/sp and to all the people saying so/sp's are inauthentic and dry... greaaaaaat thats just great I love that for me. but I get it can any other so/sp's relate to feeling really robotic and inhuman but at the same time more human than everyone else? like you have this really strong desire to connect and nurture, but it doesn't like come naturally to you. and the fact that groups are so easy and exciting and 1:1 can be so dull and awkward, it's such an uncomfortable thing to face.
to the person who said Anna kendrick was an so/sp, YES she so is.
Why do people post here only twice or thrice every other month? What's wrong with being ordinary (without the famous 'Sx')?

Chinese artist Zhang Huan
Quote:
During this period, Zhang was extremely poor and decided to move to a declining community of artists, known as Dashanzhuang at the time but later was renamed as East Village (after New York City’s East Village), which was located on the outskirts of Beijing.
It was in this place that Zhang began to use his own body and the bodies of his artist friends to create shows with few resources available for making art. The provocative “living sculptures” and other works of art by British artists Gilbert and George were inspiration to members of The Beijing’s East Village, [which we're left marginalized and "to rot" in a metaphorical sense]. In 1994 he made this performance called 12 square meters. In this work, carried out on June 2, 1994, Zhang smeared his naked body with fish oil and honey, and proceeded to sit motionless in a public bathroom for exactly one hour while insects crawled all over his body, even in his mouth and nose.

So/sp songs don't necessary have to be 'bland', depending on the strength of the sx instinct. There is a focus on integrating society, "belonging", being "someone" through the sp instinct (materialism, traditions, etc...) So/sp song can be very wordy, and there can be something a bit critical, edgy, parodic.... contraflow.

Contraflow in general has activist energy
Unhealthy so-first for sure, but it feels more like so/sp drawing from sx/so as both are part of same flow as thinking becomes more erratic, while amounting to fulfilling soc need without risking self preservation given the anonymity and feeling the high intensity of emotions without the vulnerability associated with that intensity usually (sx)?
Could be sx/so if not for focus being on excluding yourself into an observer role where you enjoy what "great humans" do as lesser beings, that inferiority-superiority complex attached to entire song?
