do Big 5 scores have any criteria for compatibility? the most compatible socionics types are on different sides of the Extroversion-Introversion scale, but what about other Big 5 scores? do they show anything in your experience?
The type is supposed to be innate, and the Big 5 score can vary over time/with mood/upon internal state, etc.
In my opinion, such compatibility in its general approach is not consistent nor relevant.
big 5 is not a true personality description. It's more suitable to test for a certain attitude for a work place or to test for certain inclinations for specific situations.
that is, there is no true way of describing how agressiveness and extroversion, for example in one person "mix". It just tells you that a person is likely to be socioable and likely to fight rather than flee or freeze.
Due to the above, there is no way of testing compatibility between two people in big5.
Really, big 5 is just a collection of the 5 personality traits that can properly be operationalized and measured, it's not a full personality theory. Modern psychology is shy about describing personality, it has some kind of generalized norm, which they use to contrast when they describe abnormal psychology, but there's no "types" like in mbti/socionics. They've tried in early psychology, but moved away from it when their focus became more behavioural than cognitive.
