Neither.
To clarify, I would rather recognize the truth and (be able to) spot a lie, and disregard their emotional connotations, especially if they are deliberate/intended.
Context is probably really important here.
But i'm trying to figure out how the truth could be insulting. Truth's are bigger than opinions because opinions change and truth's, by definition, do not. What truth could be insulting?
"Truth's?"
To answer your question - the one you're unaware of or fail to acknowledge completely, for instance.
Or truths you're both clearly aware of, yet can't help but feel insulted by. Like religious barbarism, bullying and intimidation.
Context.
I'd rather be complimented with the truth. I'm not going to choose between hell and hell, sorry conflictor.
im interpreting "the truth" here to mean "what they really think." is anybody gonna pick complimented with a lie? lol
I'd rather the person just stayed silent.
By 'truth'...does that mean what the person think the truth is, or what the truth actually is? I'd find it difficult to be insulted by the truth and would see it as independent from any attempt at an insult
I know way too many liars. Truth please.
